The Talent Board, a non-profit organization focused on the elevation and promotion of a quality candidate experience, today announced that HireVue, provider of an amazing new way to interview – on demand, is returning as a gold-level sponsor of the North American Candidate Experience Awards (CandEs). The Talent Board will also leverage the second-year sponsor’s digital interviewing technology during the final round of the program’s evaluation process to modernize its own practices and determine which employers will be honored “With Distinction.”
“Not surprisingly, the Candidate Experience Awards were remarkably successful in their first year, and the Talent Board’s mission and commitment to improving the recruiting process directly aligns with our own goals,” said HireVue CEO, David Bradford. “HireVue’s digital interviewing technology delivers a highly engaging and hassle-free interview experience for candidates, enabling greater impact earlier in the recruiting process, and providing employers with a rich medium to strengthen employment brand. We’re delighted to be sponsoring the CandEs in their second year, and truly honored to work with the Talent Board as it integrates digital interviewing with its own interviewing practices.”
Negative candidate experiences not only impact employment brand and image, but also a company’s bottom line. According to results of last year’s Candidate Experience Awards, the Talent Board found that, on average, 8 percent of those who apply for jobs at a company are likely to come away with enough anger or resentment to affect their relationship as customers of that firm, and those individuals are likely to share their resentment with others.
The CandEs program consists of three survey rounds that are designed to evaluate and recognize organizations that produce outstanding candidate experiences and help employers identify the steps they can take to improve their candidate experiences. Round one is comprised of a multi-dimensional survey designed to capture and evaluate the nominated company’s recruitment processes and practices impacting the experience. The submission deadline for this phase of the awards process is July 13, 2012. Open to all North American employers – with an additional program for U.K. based employers – the CandEs program is free for all participating companies.
Companies that complete the first round submission process will receive an Employer Benchmark Report. Those that meet the standard for candidate experience will be invited to participate in round two of the competition, which involves surveying a random sampling of the company’s 2012 candidates. Companies that meet criteria for both rounds one and two will be awarded a “CandE Award Winner” designation stamp. High scoring companies will be advanced to the final round, where they will be interviewed by the CandE judging panel – using HireVue–to determine areas of distinction. HireVue’s award-winning digital interviewing technology will allow the Candidate Experience Awards judges and “With Distinction” nominees to more efficiently connect at any time, from anywhere to share how they’re setting new standards for candidate experience. North American “With Distinction” honorees will be celebrated, along with all CandE winners, at the 2012 HR Technology Conference in Chicago this coming October.
“HireVue represents a positive trend in the candidate experience. We’re very excited to leverage the platform to bring consistency, rich media and convenience to the CandEs awards process, and to enhance the experience for our own candidates. We welcome the digital interviewing leader as a returning sponsor,” commented Ed Newman, co-founder of the Talent Board and Chief Analyst of Inside Talent Management Technology.
