Peoplefluent Unveils TalentUnity, a New Workforce Acquisition Solution Giving Companies Unparalleled Access to Talent Pools to Support Strategic Hiring Decisions
Peoplefluent TalentUnity Combines Recruiting and Contingent Sourcing Workflows to Enable Holistic Talent Acquisition
WALTHAM, Mass. – May 30, 2013 – Peoplefluent®, a leading social human capital management technology company, today announced Peoplefluent TalentUnity® , an enhanced version of its recruiting and contingent workforce management solutions. The unified solution combines common recruitment and contingent sourcing workflows into a single interface, giving business managers, HR professionals, and internal and external recruiters unparalleled access to a total workforce talent pool to support strategic, cost-effective decisions.
Companies across the globe are under pressure to compete for the best talent to fill existing and future skill gaps. To do so, companies must have a holistic view of all active workforce talent pools available in order to fill positions that require specific, hard-to-find skill sets. Companies that have seamless access to prequalified prospects for temporary, part-time and full-time roles can make faster, smarter hiring decisions and gain a significant advantage in the battle for talent, which has significantly heightened over the past year. Peoplefluent TalentUnity empowers business managers, HR professionals and recruiters to identify, attract and onboard the best candidates, whether they join the team as hourly, salaried or contract.
Peoplefluent TalentUnity also includes common business intelligence and analytics, combining data from recruiting and contingent workforce management systems. This creates a single source for all reporting needs delivering total workforce visibility for HR, Procurement and Executive leadership, and providing insight to make key strategic decisions.
Peoplefluent TalentUnity changes the way companies acquire talent. It is the only solution to enable hiring decision managers to look across recruiting and contingent workforce solutions, which is particularly important in the following scenarios:
- Considering both contractor and full-time hire talent options: As workforce demands shift and more prospective employees prefer flexible employment, leveraging talent with specific skill sets on a contract basis could be strategic to a business’s bottom line as well as employee satisfaction. Peoplefluent TalentUnity enables companies to leverage vendor networks or talent pools to identify the best source of hire for a specific opening.
- Transitioning a contractor to full-time employee: At the conclusion of a contractor engagement, companies may have a business need to hire the contractor full time. Peoplefluent TalentUnity simplifies this transition by sharing contingent management information with the recruiting portal, saving HR professionals time and resources spent acquiring a new full-time hire and also streamlining the onboarding process.
- Direct Sourcing: By utilizing the capabilities provided by the recruiting solution, companies can capitalize on their corporate brand to attract talent for contingent opportunities. Peoplefluent TalentUnity lets companies leverage their career sites to post contingent opportunities which can lead to additional cost savings.
“Our clients, many companies within the Fortune 100, look to Peoplefluent for solutions that will enable their HR and procurement teams to make strategic talent acquisition decisions, better utilize human capital assets and unlock workers’ potential,” said Jim Bowley, vice president, product management, Peoplefluent. “Our investment to tightly integrate recruiting and vendor management processes and bring Peoplefluent TalentUnity to market was fueled by industry demand and customer feedback, which confirmed companies are looking for a solution that considers the total workforce, including services procurement and contingent labor management along with employee recruitment.”
Peoplefluent TalentUnity features common recruiting, applicant tracking, contingent workforce management and business intelligence with similar user interfaces to improve and simplify the user experience. As a solution that delivers a cohesive view into the recruiting pipeline, talent pools, preferred vendors and current contingent staff, Peoplefluent TalentUnity is unique among all other stand-alone talent acquisition and management products.
Peoplefluent TalentUnity is now available. For information on Peoplefluent’s talent acquisition products or any solutions within the Peoplefluent Social HCM Software Platform, please visit: http://www.peoplefluent.com/solutions/overview.

Comprehensive HR Platform Combines Hiring, Training and Scheduling for Restaurant Operations
PeopleMatter, the largest provider of comprehensive service-industry HR software, is shaking up how the foodservice industry schedules its workforce. The Affordable Care Act (ACA) has made employee scheduling more complex. The ACA makes accurate hourly scheduling critical to the profits of the foodservice industry with the creation of “29er” employees and the “49er” employers. PeopleMatter offers the only online scheduling solution – PeopleMatter SCHEDULE™ – with a free employee mobile app that understands the importance of accurately tracking the hours worked across multiple locations in relation to these key thresholds. The PeopleMatter Platform does more than just scheduling – it is an end-to-end talent management system that helps find, hire, train and schedule the people of the service industry.
That’s why Jerry Roberts, Owner of Gator’s Dockside locations in Florida believes “it makes sense to take advantage of all the PeopleMatter products – HIRE, LEARN and SCHEDULE – since they were designed to work together.”
Today’s reality is that many restaurants still use paper and spreadsheets to schedule their employees. But the days of posting a paper copy of the schedule in the back of the house are over with SCHEDULE. PeopleMatter’s online employee scheduling software gives managers the tools to share schedules instantly with team members and optimize coverage as the week evolves.
“SCHEDULE is the wave of the future. Accessing a schedule via a smartphone is much more manageable for both the associates and managers,” shared Robert Fleming, Owner Magnolia Pancake Haus.
SCHEDULE makes it easy for team members to know when they are working. Employees no longer need to call their manager or go in on their day off to find out when they are working because their schedule is available on their mobile device.
“Automated scheduling is what today’s employees want,” said Marc Hinson, Director of HR for The Palm Restaurant Group. “Employees want to be connected to their employers with easy access to their schedules. They want to communicate with their managers through that same system. SCHEDULE does these things and more.”
PeopleMatter is currently highlighting SCHEDULE at the National Restaurant Association Show in Chicago, IL. Show attendees who stop by the booth are able to receive live demos, interact with the mobile app, review case studies and hear live testimonials from PeopleMatter customers who use SCHEDULE every day to create, manage and communicate schedules.
“We have created a better way to manage frontline employees in the service industry,” said Nate DaPore, PeopleMatter President and CEO. “We’ve built a modern, mobile scheduling tool in the PeopleMatter Platform that facilitates real-time communication, flexible shift management and cost-control. We did this because scheduling is such an important part of the relationship between the hourly worker and employer. With the recent legislative changes brought on by the ACA, it has become even more important to have technology to manage employee schedules.”

MAD Greens — Inspired Eats, a fresh concept on salads based in Colorado, and PeopleMatter, the only comprehensive HR Platform designed for the service industry, recently released ROI results from their partnership in streaming the company’s HR processes. In July 2011, MAD Greens selected PeopleMatter’s automated tools to streamline the entire hiring process into one online Platform. In nine months, the company tracked a 50 percent reduction in manager time spend while increasing data accuracy and ensuring 100 percent compliance.
Prior to implementing PeopleMatter talent management solutions, MAD Greens used paper-based hiring. The growing company struggled to complete required paperwork in a timely fashion. With a small executive staff the greater challenge was ensuring accuracy while tracking requirements, deadlines and updates. With PeopleMatter in place, the restaurant chain could use one central, online location to input, process and store information.
“At MAD Greens, we all wear a lot of hats and it is hard to find time for everything,” said Marley Hodgson, MAD Greens CEO and co-founder. “Taking care of your staff is a full-time job but we don’t always have that luxury. PeopleMatter essentially acts like another team member and that’s critical.”
One of the staffing challenges MAD Greens faced early on was assessing applicants to ensure consistency in hiring decisions. It was a time issue, managers didn’t have time to do the process efficiently. The entire hiring and onboarding process could take up to two weeks. PeopleMatter HIRE™ cut the processing time down to three days and the managers’ time spent on hiring in half. The software also allows the “MAD” company to put a little of its culture into the online onboarding process. Hodgson actually took the time to film a welcoming video for employees to be introduced to the MAD Greens mission.
“It’s a consolidated Platform, helping increase operational efficiency and providing a place our company culture can reside as much as possible on the Internet,” said Hodgson. “It’s really nice when I walk in a store and a new hire says, ‘Hey, I just watched a video of you welcoming me.’”
For MAD Greens, the number one benefit from using PeopleMatter solutions is the accuracy of the data. The “scary proposition” of company audits are in the past. Now the simplicity of the Platform ensures that the restaurant chain’s information is 80 percent more accurate and in an easy-to-access location.
“The PeopleMatter Platform is designed well and clearly thought out,” said Hodgson. “Lots of systems say they are simple, this one actually is. And simplicity is where it is at in our business.”
“Working with exceptional people who believe in your corporate mission is what makes serving our clients so satisfying,” said Nate DaPore, PeopleMatter president and CEO. “MAD Greens is really using the software the way it is meant to be used.”

SAN FRANCISCO – April 30, 2013 Jobscience Inc., the leader in Recruiting Engagement software, today announced the appointment of Miranda Nash as the company’s President and member of its Board of Directors. As a Silicon Valley technology veteran, entrepreneur and investor – Nash brings a wealth of business and technical expertise to Jobscience. At Jobscience, Nash will lead product development, engineering and professional services as the company creates next generation cloud services that power ‘just-in-time recruitment.’
“The way people find and hire talent is dramatically changing,” said Miranda Nash. “In order to remain competitive, companies need to adopt new recruiting strategies like talent pools and closed-loop social media engagement so they can quickly identify and hire top candidates as soon as new positions open. Jobscience has incredible potential to transform the way companies and agencies recruit great talent. I am looking forward to guiding the team through this exciting phase of growth.”
Nash will leverage both her enterprise technology expertise and business experience at Jobscience. Nash began her career as an engineer and has a B.S. in Computer Science from Stanford University and an M.B.A. from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
“We are thrilled to have Miranda join our team,” said Ted Elliott, CEO and Founder of Jobscience. “Her experience scaling company operations and deep knowledge about data-centric applications and analytics will be invaluable as we apply ‘just-in-time’ technology and process automation to recruitment.”

Consultative Approach, Strategic Alignment and Deep Provider Network Drive Candidate Quality and Predictability with a Unique RPO Focus
Randstad Sourceright, a global talent leader, recently announced details of its Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) Integrated Assessment Program. Designed to provide strategic capability beyond single-purpose and ad-hoc utilization of assessments to support given roles, the program provides a comprehensive approach to ensure that assessments drive measurable value in addressing overall talent acquisition and business needs for each client.
A key to the program’s effectiveness is the focused combination of three strategic elements. These include consultative support through dedicated assessment experts; an RPO alignment strategy to ensure that assessments directly address business goals, metrics and reporting needs; and an industry leading assessment network drawing from the strengths of today’s top providers. As an integrated process in the RPO relationship, assessment strategy is driven by a continuous review and improvement framework, helping to ensure that the assessment strategy evolves to increase predictability of candidate fit and quality against changing business and market needs.
“Through our RPO-Integrated Assessment Program, Randstad Sourceright continues to reinforce the strategic approach that drives all aspects of our RPO solutions,” said Brooke Mellor, Director of Randstad Sourceright’s Assessments Center of Expertise. “By leveraging our deep expertise, a great assessment provider network and a strategic process-driven approach, Randstad Sourceright provides clients with an advantage in achieving and maintaining candidate quality with better predictability.”
“A focus on business impact is central to all facets of our RPO solutions, and assessments are no exception,” said Rebecca Callahan, Randstad Sourceright’s president of RPO. “Through our Assessments COE, Randstad Sourceright is proud to reinforce its commitment to translating RPO value into a business and talent advantage for our clients around the world.”
The RPO-Integrated Assessment program was developed and implemented by Randstad Sourceright’s Assessment Center of Expertise (COE), one of the four primary COEs implemented by Randstad Sourceright over the past two years. The Assessment COE is dedicated to improving candidate quality and effectiveness by centralizing knowledge, guidance and expertise in assessment utilization and ensuring that clients have the right assessment solution for their talent and business needs.
Randstad Sourceright’s enhanced assessment capabilities are preconfigured with its RPO solution as part of its best practices methodology. The global talent leader will help its clients determine the skillsets they require of their candidates and ensure they identify the individuals who will add value to their organizations. Adding a layer of standardization to screening practices, the assessments ensure consistent and objective evaluation of candidates’ skills, fit and capabilities to improve compliance with regulatory requirements.
Randstad Sourceright’s COEs are led by industry experts and thought leaders in key areas of talent acquisition, providing the structure, mission and focus needed to drive continuous improvement and ensure quality results for clients around the world. HRchitect includes Ultimate Software in our list of top HRIS vendors that organizations should consider. If you are looking for a new Human Capital Management (HCM) System, don’t rely solely on “recommendations” or published reports. Do yourself a huge favor and talk to HRchitect first. After 16 years, HRchitect has unparalleled knowledge of the HR, Talent Management and Workforce Management vendor community and can save you time and money in selection and implementation. Simply put, do not invest in any kind of HR technology without consulting with the experts first. HRchitect is always available to help!
Ultimate Software (Nasdaq: ULTI), a leading cloud provider of people management solutions, recently announced that Healogics, Inc., the largest provider of wound care and related disease management in the U.S., is facilitating growth, improving complex workforce reporting, and streamlining its human capital management by leveraging the cloud-based UltiPro solution.
After executives at Healogics finalized an acquisition between the market leaders in November 2011, Payroll Manager Aimee Morgan began integrating the new employees into the company’s processes, including UltiPro. Morgan had joined the healthcare company five years earlier and assisted with the migration to UltiPro from a payroll service bureau. In 2007, Healogics had deployed UltiPro for core HR and payroll in approximately 90 days and then rolled out the solution’s functionality for recruitment, onboarding, performance management, salary planning, and time and attendance. Based on Ultimate’s proven track record with its support services, Morgan knew she could quickly assimilate the new employees into the UltiPro solution.
“With the recent acquisition, we increased our employee base by 50% and had all the new employees live on UltiPro in about 30 days, which is an immense achievement for us,” said Morgan. “UltiPro played an important role in helping us manage the transition smoothly, and today we’re the largest provider of wound care and related disease management in the U.S. We knew we could count on Ultimate Software and UltiPro for the right technology and the right support during this critical period of expansion.”
Healogics has complex HCM requirements related to its unique business model, which includes thousands of employees in more than 500 of its Wound Care Centers® as well as contract workers, temporary workers, and hospital employees. With a diverse workforce in a range of categories, the company needs to develop strategic workforce analytics on each of its locations to make important business decisions that impact the bottom line.
“Because of UltiPro’s flexibility and configurability, we can include all the individuals who work at our Wound Care Centers in our HCM solution—not just the 2,000 employees on our payroll,” said Morgan. “Because UltiPro provides us with high levels of visibility and accuracy, our teams can identify how many nurses it takes to run a specific Wound Care Center and we can report on every person who is working at each of our facilities. We also can give non-employees access to our UltiPro portal that includes a range of company information, which is very helpful in delivering communications to everyone across our organization.”
Because people-related information is unified in UltiPro, Healogics can easily gather critical business intelligence for people-focused decision making. “With UltiPro, we can quickly report on and deliver the average turnover by location or role, and instantly pull up whatever metrics we need to make sure that our operations are efficient and productive and that we have the best people in place,” said Morgan. “The configurability, ease of use, and power of UltiPro enables us to make an impact on our entire business.”
To streamline administration, Healogics is leveraging UltiPro to automate many processes that used to require significant paper usage, hours of manually intensive effort, and other resources that were costly and inefficient. With UltiPro, workflow processes like managing time and attendance are faster and more accurate than ever.
“Everyone, including our CEO, uses UltiPro to manage their time, and we’ve had such a positive response from our employees and managers,” said Morgan. “Within 20 minutes of being hired, new hires can have a time sheet. And if something changes for an employee, like he or she moves to a different team or terminates, we immediately see the change made in every area across the solution, which eliminates redundant data entry and the potential for errors. With UltiPro, we’ve achieved huge gains in efficiencies.”
According to Morgan, Ultimate’s customer service also ranks very highly. “Ultimate’s customer service is fantastic. Ultimate’s people are very knowledgeable, responsive, and friendly,” said Morgan. “Everyone I’ve met at Ultimate Software is ready to help and support us. You can tell Ultimate’s employees are happy to work for the company.”
“We’re very glad that we are adding value to Healogics and contributing to the success of its overall business,” said Greg Swick, chief sales officer at Ultimate Software. “The HR and payroll teams have done a wonderful job in setting up UltiPro to meet its unique business requirements, and they are truly taking advantage of UltiPro’s power and flexibility to add strategic value, automate and streamline processes, and improve the employee experience for the company’s thousands of employees.”

Spin Systems Uses Jobscience’s Relationship-centric App to Source Talent, Hire Candidates and On-board Employees
Jobscience Inc., the leader in Social Relationship Management for HR, recently announced that it has enabled Spin Systems to centralize its talent acquisition processes, while simultaneously moving their recruiting system to the Cloud. Spin Systems recruiters can now easily find and access information about a candidate at any point within the engagement process, from any computer at any location.
“Before deploying Jobscience Recruiting, we were using a client-based windows application that required users to go to a computer where the software was installed in order to use the application,” said Ms. Carissa Braithwaite, Human Resources Manager, Spin Systems Inc. “We needed a cloud-based application and were using Salesforce.com for CRM, so we were delighted to find that Jobscience leveraged the robust Force.com Cloud platform.”
With Jobscience, Spin Systems can approach talent acquisition similar to customer acquisition, which is a game-changer in Human Capital Management. Corporate hiring teams are empowered to treat employees like customers and move candidates through the recruitment management lifecycle in an expedited, seamless, closed-loop fashion – leveraging best-practices and workflows from CRM industry-leader salesforce.com.
“Jobscience is a great system that allows us to keep track of every resume, email, phone call and interaction with candidates – all the way through the hiring process,” added Braithwaite. “There have been times we’ve needed to retrieve key information AFTER a hire and the Jobscience application made it quick and easy to find the communication.”
Whether a company is sourcing talent for future growth plans, actively filling open positions, or managing rehires, Jobscience places the ‘individual’ in the center of the workflow, creating a relationship-based system. Other recruiting applications center the workflow around a ‘transaction,’ such as a job requisition. But Jobscience’s relationship-based approach enables recruiters to create and manage a pipeline of talent in a searchable and active database with a complete view of candidate engagement.
“We are facing a situation we have never seen before – a time when we do not have enough talent to back-fill the number of people leaving the economy at the rate they are leaving,” said Ted Elliott, CEO and Founder of Jobscience. “Jobscience is helping companies through this change by transforming their talent acquisition strategy and processes so they can continue to hire candidates with the skill sets they need to be successful.”
