HireVue Wins Most Innovative Recruiting Product at 2013 Recruiting Innovation Summit
CodeVue, the Leading Digital Interviewing Provider’s Revolutionary Technical Recruiting Platform, Helps Employers Identify, Screen and Engage Top Technical Talent Faster
SALT LAKE CITY (June 3, 2013) – HireVue, the leading on-demand digital interviewing platform provider, is pleased to announce that its groundbreaking CodeVue™ technical recruiting solution was awarded the Most Innovative Recruiting Product at ERE’s 2013 Recruiting Innovation Summit in San Francisco on May 15. CodeVue was selected by conference attendees for its transformative approach to helping employers recruit, screen and validate the skills of technical talent.
With unemployment rates for technical talent below 2.5 percent, the timing couldn’t be better for a recruiting solution like CodeVue. Companies across all industries and of every size need more innovative resources to attract both active and passive candidates in this competitive market.
CodeVue is a cloud-based digital recruiting platform designed to rapidly identify, engage and screen technical talent through online digital interviews. HireVue’s first-of-its-kind technical recruiting solution enables tech talent to conveniently showcase their coding skills through a series of challenge questions during the already candidate-friendly digital interviewing process that HireVue has become known for. Recruiters and hiring managers then review the results of these responses (or challenges) and, in combination with their video responses and input from other stakeholders, are able to make better informed, data-driven hiring decisions regardless of their technical background.
During the Recruiting Innovation Summit’s “Unveilings – Innovative New Recruiting Products” sessions, some of the industry’s most forward-thinking recruiting professionals had the opportunity to experience recruiting technologies with the potential to fundamentally change the recruiting world. CodeVue was named by attendees as the Most Innovative Product, elected the winner among revolutionary technologies from the market’s leading solution providers.
“HireVue continues to develop and deliver the technologies that support positive employment brand, improve the interview process and help employers engage with the right talent faster, despite persistent talent shortages. With the launch of CodeVue, we’ve taken digital interviews to a new level, empowering recruiters – whether technical or not – to screen and validate candidates’ skills and connect with the individuals that will allow them to remain innovative and competitive,” said Mark Newman, founder and CEO of HireVue. “We are honored to be recognized as an innovator by ERE, the Recruiting Innovation Summit, and some of the industry’s most cutting edge recruiting professionals for the impact that our solutions have on the talent acquisition process and our clients’ overall business success.”

Peoplefluent Unveils TalentUnity, a New Workforce Acquisition Solution Giving Companies Unparalleled Access to Talent Pools to Support Strategic Hiring Decisions
Peoplefluent TalentUnity Combines Recruiting and Contingent Sourcing Workflows to Enable Holistic Talent Acquisition
WALTHAM, Mass. – May 30, 2013 – Peoplefluent®, a leading social human capital management technology company, today announced Peoplefluent TalentUnity® , an enhanced version of its recruiting and contingent workforce management solutions. The unified solution combines common recruitment and contingent sourcing workflows into a single interface, giving business managers, HR professionals, and internal and external recruiters unparalleled access to a total workforce talent pool to support strategic, cost-effective decisions.
Companies across the globe are under pressure to compete for the best talent to fill existing and future skill gaps. To do so, companies must have a holistic view of all active workforce talent pools available in order to fill positions that require specific, hard-to-find skill sets. Companies that have seamless access to prequalified prospects for temporary, part-time and full-time roles can make faster, smarter hiring decisions and gain a significant advantage in the battle for talent, which has significantly heightened over the past year. Peoplefluent TalentUnity empowers business managers, HR professionals and recruiters to identify, attract and onboard the best candidates, whether they join the team as hourly, salaried or contract.
Peoplefluent TalentUnity also includes common business intelligence and analytics, combining data from recruiting and contingent workforce management systems. This creates a single source for all reporting needs delivering total workforce visibility for HR, Procurement and Executive leadership, and providing insight to make key strategic decisions.
Peoplefluent TalentUnity changes the way companies acquire talent. It is the only solution to enable hiring decision managers to look across recruiting and contingent workforce solutions, which is particularly important in the following scenarios:
- Considering both contractor and full-time hire talent options: As workforce demands shift and more prospective employees prefer flexible employment, leveraging talent with specific skill sets on a contract basis could be strategic to a business’s bottom line as well as employee satisfaction. Peoplefluent TalentUnity enables companies to leverage vendor networks or talent pools to identify the best source of hire for a specific opening.
- Transitioning a contractor to full-time employee: At the conclusion of a contractor engagement, companies may have a business need to hire the contractor full time. Peoplefluent TalentUnity simplifies this transition by sharing contingent management information with the recruiting portal, saving HR professionals time and resources spent acquiring a new full-time hire and also streamlining the onboarding process.
- Direct Sourcing: By utilizing the capabilities provided by the recruiting solution, companies can capitalize on their corporate brand to attract talent for contingent opportunities. Peoplefluent TalentUnity lets companies leverage their career sites to post contingent opportunities which can lead to additional cost savings.
“Our clients, many companies within the Fortune 100, look to Peoplefluent for solutions that will enable their HR and procurement teams to make strategic talent acquisition decisions, better utilize human capital assets and unlock workers’ potential,” said Jim Bowley, vice president, product management, Peoplefluent. “Our investment to tightly integrate recruiting and vendor management processes and bring Peoplefluent TalentUnity to market was fueled by industry demand and customer feedback, which confirmed companies are looking for a solution that considers the total workforce, including services procurement and contingent labor management along with employee recruitment.”
Peoplefluent TalentUnity features common recruiting, applicant tracking, contingent workforce management and business intelligence with similar user interfaces to improve and simplify the user experience. As a solution that delivers a cohesive view into the recruiting pipeline, talent pools, preferred vendors and current contingent staff, Peoplefluent TalentUnity is unique among all other stand-alone talent acquisition and management products.
Peoplefluent TalentUnity is now available. For information on Peoplefluent’s talent acquisition products or any solutions within the Peoplefluent Social HCM Software Platform, please visit: http://www.peoplefluent.com/solutions/overview.

Skillsoft Marks 10th Anniversary of its Groundbreaking Learning Growth Model
If you are looking for a new Human Capital Management (HCM) System, don’t rely solely on “recommendations” or published reports. Do yourself a huge favor and talk to HRchitect first. After 16 years, HRchitect has unparalleled knowledge of the HCM vendor community and can save you time and money in selection and implementation. Simply put, do not invest in any kind of HR technology without consulting with the experts first. HRchitect is always available to help!
NASHUA, N.H.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Marking the 10-year anniversary of its Learning Growth Model®, Skillsoft introduced an updated whitepaper that illustrates the transformation of training into learning and includes the most recent innovations in the learning industry. Initially developed in 2003 to help organizations chart a realistic direction on their path to learning optimization, the five-stage model aligns learning with strategic business goals, leading to increased cost savings, productivity, performance, employee retention and competitive advantage. A new infographic was also developed that outlines the latest version of the Learning Growth Model and is available at: http://on.fb.me/14HOiic. Skillsoft is a pioneer in the field of technology-delivered learning with a long history of innovation and delivering solutions for its customers worldwide, ranging from global enterprises, government, and education to mid-sized and small businesses.
The Learning Growth Model is detailed in Skillsoft’s whitepaper, The Skillsoft Learning Growth Model: A Blueprint for Integrating Learning into the Life of the Enterprise in Five Manageable Stages. The whitepaper presents a clear business value for linking learning to organizational business goals to increase the value and impact of the learning program. Organizations can learn how to transform learning from skills-focused training to business-focused learning that aligns with strategic business goals and provides a greater business value. A key phase in this process is reaching strategic transformation, which is the minimal position for all organizations that seek to align learning to business goals and are focused on building the optimum transfer of learning into the workplace.
“Developing talent is an organizational imperative as the demand for innovative, leading edge talent is intensifying with no sign of slowing down. Industry experts estimate that 55-80 percent of what people learn is lost or not applied to the job. This puts pressure on organizations to justify the time and resources they dedicate to learning,” said John Ambrose, senior vice president, strategy, corporate development and emerging business, Skillsoft. “By closely correlating a learning program with tangible business goals, organizations can improve knowledge retention and document a return on their learning investment. Our whitepaper and infographic are excellent tools for guidance through this process, which transforms basic training into integrated learning.”
The five stages of the Skillsoft Learning Growth Model are:
Stage 1 – Supplement. In this stage, elearning is introduced to address scalability challenges and reduce costs. New elearning resources address a backlog of demand for skills-based training that could not be delivered via traditional methods due to high costs. Reduced travel costs, design and development costs, instructor time and learners’ time away from work all contribute to significant cost savings.
Stage 2 – Targeted. During stage two, targeted learning begins to support specific initiatives and job roles. This stage expands earlier results and provides elearning in new workplace areas. Elearning resources replace redundant classroom training, which further reduces learning costs. Executive support typically increases during this stage of the Learning Growth Model.
Stage 3 – Strategic. Learning is aligned to strategic business objectives and begins to connect to talent management to increase the value and impact of learning during stage three. This is the most pivotal stage in the Learning Growth Model and marks the transformation from skills-focused training to business-focused learning and is a major point of change into a new learning paradigm.
Stage 4 – Integrated. Stage four is marked by increasing talent and accelerating organizational agility. Organizations that reach this stage have successfully woven learning into the fabric of the organization. Learning is focused on accelerating business results, deepening the talent pool and creating an agile, empowering, productive and creative organization.
Stage 5 – Optimized. Organizations at the optimized stage have fully matured and are focused on deepening talent and broadening learning to the extended enterprise. Elearning is branched out to the organization’s supply chain, customers, etc. Learning has become globally ubiquitous and seamlessly integrates into the workplace.

-Talent Platform 13.1 enhancements reflect desire of employers to not only recruit for open positions, but promote their employment brand and build relationships with potential candidates-
MATAWAN, N.J. (May 6, 2013) – iCIMS, Inc., a leading provider of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) talent acquisition software solutions for growing businesses, is announcing the launch of the latest version of its core product, Talent Platform 13.1. This release is a standout; it features progressive new functionality that reflects the growing desire of companies to utilize technology to not only help in advertising jobs but to build relationships with potential candidates and increase brand awareness.
“Talent acquisition has become so much more than just tracking applicants,” said iCIMS Chief Marketing Officer, Susan Vitale. “It’s about building relationships, creating brand awareness, and communicating your company culture and values. This convergence of marketing and recruitment is exciting at an industry level and helps build interest on the candidate side, which ultimately assists employers in recruiting and onboarding great talent. That’s what our suite of solutions strives to do.”
Enhancements to iCIMS Talent Platform include optimized career portal branding, new bidirectional email, comprehensive metrics dashboards, and an upgraded Onboard solution.
“The talent acquisition lifecycle really starts on a company’s career portal, where both active and passive candidates search for job openings and research companies,” said Vitale. “This is where a company needs to put its best foot forward. Our 13.1 release allows clients to create a public-facing career portal that has a clean, modern look configured with brand assets that give not only candidates, but the public at large, a look into a company’s culture and brand.”
One of the most highly-anticipated new features of the Talent Platform is Bidirectional Email. This new feature, which came directly through customer feedback, allows recruiters, hiring managers, and HR professionals to send email communications from the platform to candidates, while automatically recording the two-way conversation in the platform for historical data tracking. The communications interface has also been modernized across notes, appointments, and email composition. As a foray into Big Data, iCIMS is also now offering a new Metrics Dashboard, which allows users to view and drill down into insightful data across products, including key stats around career portal activity, candidate sources, and high level workflow summaries.
The company’s 13.1 release will also coincide with the much anticipated release of its upgradedOnboard solution. Onboard allows HR professionals to automate the transition from candidate to productive new hire, which is key to new hire retention. According to a 2011 Aberdeen Group report on employee productivity, the right onboarding process has been found to increase new hire retention by 50% and double the level of new hire engagement. iCIMS’ configurable Onboard solution provides options for companies to house dynamic content, like tailored welcome messages, pictures, and onboarding videos. This greatly enhances the transition experience, giving new hires the ability to engage and learn about the company while completing important online forms before their first day.
“Along with enhancing our core Talent Platform, we have also improved our integrations with background check solution providers,” commented iCIMS Chief Technical Officer Paul Melici. “It is so important companies ensure they are in line with state and federal mandates when bringing on a new hire. Our new standard integration package in 13.1 automates the process so background checks are easy, repeatable, and scalable.”
The iCIMS Talent Platform can be integrated with over 125 different service providers, likeSterling, Orange Tree, First Advantage, Aurico, TalentWise, and Accurate, to facilitate a company’s recruitment initiatives. All of these enhancements are expected to strengthen iCIMS’ already stellar customer service, which recently garnered two coveted industry awards including the Bronze Stevie® Award for “Customer Service Department of the Year” in the Computer Software category and a top three ranking in HRO Today Magazine’s “Baker’s Dozen Customer Satisfaction Ratings” in the Talent Management Software category.

Automated reference checking maximizes HR efficiency and eliminates administrative burden of candidate reference checks; next release to further improve usability
HealthcareSource®, the leading provider of talent management solutions for the healthcare industry announced today that in its first year of availability more than 50 healthcare organizations are using the HealthcareSource Reference AssessmentSM, a cloud-based solution that automates and applies behavioral science to the employment reference checking process for healthcare organizations. The solution is just one component of the HealthcareSource Quality Talent SuiteTM of solutions that automates and improves talent management processes such as: candidate sourcing, screening, hiring and onboarding, and employee performance and development.
HealthcareSource Reference Assessment automates the reference checking process by enabling candidates to electronically invite references to respond to a brief online anonymous survey regarding the candidate’s behaviors. The results are evaluated using validated behavioral-based science to predict the behavioral fit of the candidate for the job family. The results include dramatic time-savings for HR, higher response rates on references, and lower turnover as a result of better behavioral information. The entire process is managed online and can be used standalone or in conjunction with other HealthcareSource solutions.
“We started using HealthcareSource Reference Assessment when we realized that in order to acquire the best talent, we had to change our methods and improve candidate screening processes,” says Kymberly Gillespie, Manager of Human Resources at WVU Healthcare. “Automated reference checking has totally changed our way of thinking. We are now able to use the references to help us make a final decision, rather than just completing reference calls as part of the hiring formality. And to get up and running, the support and guidance from the HealthcareSource implementation team and trainers has been second to none.”
“By giving references a private, secure method of responding to reference requests, we’re getting far more detailed information about candidates than we did via phone references,” says Jessica Burchett, Human Resources Manager at Casa Colina Centers for Rehabilitation. “We’re using the HealthcareSource Reference Assessment for all of our hiring now and the results are better, more accurate references.”
The next release of HealthcareSource Reference Assessment will improve usability for HR professionals by making it easier to find the information they need to know such as distinguishing ratings of peers vs. managers and easily accessing the candidate reference status. HealthcareSource Reference Assessment is fully integrated with the HealthcareSource Position Manager® applicant tracking solution.
