Bullhorn, the global leader in recruiting software, announced record-breaking attendance at its recent sold-out annual user conference, Bullhorn Live 2013, which took place May 20-22, 2013, in Boston. The conference, now in its fourth year, attracted more than 300 staffing and recruiting professionals from around the world.  Professionals from 145 companies gathered for two days of training, general sessions on the future of recruiting, and breakout sessions geared towards maximizing the benefits of Bullhorn products and growing revenue in 2013.

Following an evening of pre-conference workshops, Bullhorn CEO Art Papas commenced the first full day of sessions with his keynote address. Papas and the Bullhorn product management team provided the audience with an exclusive sneak peek into upcoming Bullhorn product features, including a streamlined new ATS/CRM interface for common recruiting tasks and an email integration update. The team also demoed improved functionality for Bullhorn Reach. All the features demoed during the keynote session were designed to save recruiters time and improve their speed and adoption by integrating Bullhorn with their daily work tasks.

During the keynote address, Papas also discussed the elements of a great enterprise software partnership, highlighting the importance of shared values between customer and vendor. He outlined the depth of Bullhorn’s technical performance, with the company handling 2 billion customer requests per month, 100 terabytes of data, and 1,500 clicks per second – all while maintaining 99.992% uptime over the past year.

“Nothing in technology stays still,” said Papas. “For a partnership to work, your vendor needs to be evolving, aligned, and healthy. Bullhorn is investing almost $20 million in evolving its support, services, R&D, and infrastructure in 2013. Our goals are aligned with those of our customers and we’re improving our products to address their changing needs. And our customers know that we’ve been around for 13 years but remain fast-growing, increasing our client count by 135% last year. We’re healthy and here for the long haul.”

Other conference highlights included sessions presented by Staffing Industry Analysts’ Andrew Karpie and recruitment experts Danny Sarch and Eric Jaquith.

A quarter of Bullhorn Live attendees this year were customers using Bullhorn’s MaxHire and Sendouts products, and Bullhorn was pleased to welcome them to the combined Bullhorn family. Bullhorn Live featured specific tracks for MaxHire and Sendouts users to ensure they gleaned the greatest value from the conference.  Many of Bullhorn’s forthcoming product updates will merge popular features of the MaxHire and Sendouts offerings with Bullhorn.

The conference was well-attended by Bullhorn partners as well as customers. Fifteen Bullhorn Marketplace partners exhibited at Bullhorn Live. Monster sponsored the Bullhorn Live opening welcome reception on May 20th. New Release of Bullhorn’s Applicant Tracking Software Reinvents Candidate Search…from Bullhorn

December 15, 2011

Finds the best candidates faster and flattens the learning curve for new recruiters

If you are looking for a new Talent Management System, or any HR system, don’t rely solely on “recommendations” or published reports. Do yourself a huge favor and talk to HRchitect first. After 14 years, HRchitect has unparalleled knowledge of the HR and Talent Management vendor community and can save you time and money in selection and implementation. Simply put, do not invest in any kind of HR technology without consulting with the experts first. HRchitect is always available to help!

Bullhorn recently announced the Winter 2012 release of its applicant tracking software featuring all new Candidate Search. Candidate Search suggests the search terms most likely to produce the best matching candidates by continuously learning from millions of searches and resumes. More accurate results, plus a newly streamlined interface, saves time on each of the hundreds of resume database searches recruiters perform.

Candidate Search examines a job, candidate or user-entered keywords and suggests additional terms. For example, if a recruiter searches for “Java” and “J2EE,” it suggests related terms such as Java Server Pages, XML, web services, and object oriented. For “accounting” and “receivables” it suggests adding general ledger, payroll, reconciliation, billing and collections. Candidate Search arms new recruiters with domain expertise that would otherwise take months to gain and helps any recruiter asked by a client about a skill they aren’t familiar with.

“Almost every job starts by searching for candidates, so recruiters who execute faster and send out their very best candidates gain a huge advantage over less agile competitors” said Art Papas, CEO and Co-Founder of Bullhorn. “Accelerating recruiter effectiveness, especially for new hires, means filling more jobs and boosting profitability.”

Candidate Search further enhances recruiter productivity by providing:

  • Drag and drop search builder – Rapidly build searches by clicking and dragging search terms to include, prioritize, or exclude.
  • Personalization – Tailor the fields, columns and appearance of search results to maximize your personal productivity.
  • Collaboration – Save your best searches associated with a job, client or contact and share them with colleagues.
  • Unified searching – Save time by searching across resumes, notes and attachments all from one screen.

“Bullhorn Candidate Search will help our team find great candidates faster than ever,” said Wendy Kennah, Director of Recruiting at Procom Consultants Group, a leading Canadian IT staffing company. “The drag and drop search builder and suggested keywords for new recruiters combined with Boolean syntax for experienced recruiters, means that everyone on the team has the ideal toolset for candidate search. New hires can get up to speed quickly, and learn from what’s already working for us.”

In addition to Candidate Search, the Bullhorn Winter 2012 release delivers more than 130 updates and fixes including improvements to web response tracking that makes it easier to track candidates from first touch through to placement, as well as API updates, email and calendar integration improvements and much more. The Bullhorn Winter 2012 release will be available to all Bullhorn customers in early 2012. For additional information about Candidate Search and the Winter 2012 release please visit Bullhorn.com.

Bullhorn recently announced the integration of MyResourcer, the easy-to-use online job lead generation system for the global recruitment market, with Bullhorn’s applicant tracking and customer relationship management software. As a Bullhorn Marketplace Partner, MyResourcer’s technology enables Bullhorn users to unlock the value hidden within their client/prospect database, by automating the job search to develop new business contacts.

“We are pleased to partner with Bullhorn and bring robust business development functionality to its users,” comments Bradley Placks, Managing Director of MyResourcer. “Typically, business development is a challenge for recruiters, with much of it relying on spending time searching for job adverts online, scouring job boards and cold calling prospects. With this integration, users will benefit from a streamlined workflow, from automated client prospecting right through to managing candidate placement, speeding up the recruitment process even further and delivering exceptional customer service to clients.”

The partnership between MyResourcer and Bullhorn is part of the Bullhorn Marketplace, the first cloud-based  recruitment agencies application and services marketplace available to the industry.  The Marketplace provides best-of-breed solutions that are tightly integrated with Bullhorn and gives  recruitment firms the ability to leverage appropriate technology for their unique business needs.

David Beaver, Director of Global Alliances at Bullhorn adds: “MyResourcer adds a valuable extension onto the Bullhorn system; delivering effective business development functionality that manages the recruitment process at each touch point with the client and the candidate. By entering into the partnership with MyResourcer, our client base is set to benefit from significant time savings and the opportunity to take advantage of the hidden revenue in their client/prospect database.”

MyResourcer uses artificial intelligence and dynamic search technology to provide recruiters with the quickest and simplest mechanism for automated tracking of new jobs, as and when they appear on company websites.  Instead of having to trawl through websites on a daily basis, recruiters are equipped with new jobs, even from organisations they may not have already dealt with.

Placks adds: “With proactive business development now becoming a bigger part of the recruiter’s agenda, MyResourcer will make the process much easier for Bullhorn users. By casting the net as wide as possible, recruiters are equipped with leads to loosen up the hidden revenue in their database and gain that ever-elusive competitive edge.”
