Taleo Helps Facebook Users Realize Their Full Potential in Today’s Job Market…from Taleo

Professional Tagging on Talent Exchange Uses Authentic Feedback From Peers to Build Reputations

HRchitect featured Taleo in our release of The Suite Life of Integrated Talent Management and also includes them in our list of top Talent Acquisition Systems vendors that businesses should consider. Taleo appeared on the HRchitect WebMingle on November 6, 2009. HRchitect attended the 2010 & 2011 TaleoWorld conference and HRchitect’s Matt Lafata, one of the industry’s leading talent management systems analysts, attended Taleo’s annual Sales and Services meeting in 2010 & 2011.

If you are looking for a new Talent Management System, or any HR system, don’t rely solely on “recommendations” or published reports. Do yourself a huge favor and talk to HRchitect first. After 14 years, HRchitect has unparalleled knowledge of the HR and Talent Management vendor community and can save you time and money in selection and implementation. Simply put, do not invest in any kind of HR technology without consulting with the experts first. HRchitect is always available to help!

There’s something new for professionals to “Like” on Facebook — a way to build their reputations among peers and top companies by using authentic feedback on their skills and abilities to create a unique view into who they are and what they have to offer.

The new feature is available only to users of Talent Exchange from Taleo Corporation (NASDAQ: TLEO), the global leader of SaaS-based Talent Management solutions. Talent Exchange for Facebook is an implementation of Taleo’s open online marketplace where more than 5,000 companies can connect with candidates.

Leveraging the popularity of tagging among Facebook’s 750 million users, Talent Exchange adds analysis and rankings that people can use to help them get ahead in the job market. In Talent Exchange, friends and colleagues can tag a user’s profile with short feedback on that person’s skill set, strengths and work ethic. Taleo then analyzes and ranks each user’s feedback and network activity so individuals can measure how they compare with peers in their field. Talent Exchange also uses game-style features like badges and leader boards to encourage users to tag more often, which in turn leads to more comprehensive rankings. The new features are available to everyone who joins Talent Exchange, whether through Facebook or directly at talentexchange.com.

Talent Exchange also helps give professionals a head start on their next career move by exposing their reputation and marketplace ranking directly to recruiters and hiring managers who work daily in Taleo’s recruiting software. And as soon as a hiring need is created by a Taleo customer, that opportunity is immediately available on Talent Exchange. This gives Talent Exchange users a first look at the latest job openings, often before they’re posted elsewhere.

By making use of both keywords and tags, Talent Exchange also introduces a better way to search people. Recruiters and hiring managers can also navigate a user’s network based on the tags given and tags received to find talent associated with that individual.

“Talent Exchange helps Facebook users realize their full potential by building and promoting their reputation among peers and top companies — a reputation enhanced by objective endorsements from the people who know them best,” said Jason Blessing, executive vice president, products and technology at Taleo. “Whether professionals sign up through our Facebook application or directly at talentexchange.com, they now can leverage relationships and opportunities more effectively and elegantly than ever before.”

When they join Talent Exchange, users automatically become better prepared to quickly pursue new opportunities. Their first step is to create a Universal Profile. The Universal Profile is an online resume that allows users to enter their information once and then apply for multiple jobs without re-entering the same information again and again. That information, which can highlight skills, experience and career goals, is also instantly viewable by the companies that use Taleo solutions to recruit and manage talent. Recruiters and hiring managers at more than 5,000 companies worldwide use Taleo to recruit and hire roughly 1 million people a year.

Taleo also makes it easier to pursue new opportunities in real time through a free mobile app called Taleo Radar. An extension of Talent Exchange, Taleo Radar combines location-based mobile technology with talent intelligence to pinpoint opportunities and match them with professionals whose skills and experience make them candidates for job openings, new business pitches, or professional collaboration and networking. The new app is available from the iTunes AppStore for Apple iPhone, iPad and iPod touch running iOS 4.0 and later. Taleo also plans to release Taleo Radar on Android and BlackBerry platforms.

Anyone can join Talent Exchange on Facebook at https://apps.facebook.com/talentexchange/, or directly at talentexchange.com. There is no cost to join.

Social Recruiting Solution Adds Automated Network Builder, LinkedIn and Facebook Integration; Helps Recruiters and Jobseekers Stay a Step Ahead

Social recruiting solution Jobfox announced recently the release of new features that further enhance its innovative career networking platform. The addition of an automated skills-matching “Network Builder” plus LinkedIn and Facebook integration to the company’s already powerful candidate referral tools will help recruiters more easily find the best talent in the market, and increase job seekers’ chances of landing the perfect job.

Founded in 2005, and re-launched in February 2011, Jobfox is a career website that connects employers with professionals who want to work at their company. Jobfox takes the legwork out of networking for both recruiters and job seekers by automating the process of building networks and developing mutually beneficial connections. Using its “high-volume, high-speed” social recruiting solution, Jobfox Boost, recruiters and talent acquisition professionals are able to source the best talent in the market quickly and efficiently via private talent networking, and can start leveraging connections for recruiting and referrals virtually overnight.

“Our networking tools are producing impressive results in the market, and the company is picking up a lot of steam,” said Robert McGovern, chairman and CEO of Jobfox. “Our networking activity has experienced 500% growth in the last two months, with a quarter of a million job seeker requests per week already. This new product update will enhance activity among employers and candidates who are hungry for a better talent/job finding solution.”

NEW & ENHANCED FEATURES MAKE IT EASIER TO RECRUIT THE RIGHT PEOPLE

Network Builder. This new feature utilizes Jobfox’s patented Match algorithm to automatically recommend the best talent in that marketplace that employers should network with based on skills and experience. The addition of this intuitive recommendation engine to Jobfox’s automated process of building networks cuts the time in half for recruiters to build a high quality talent network.

LinkedIn Integration. Now employers can invite all of their LinkedIn connections into their Jobfox network with one click, right from their Jobfox dashboard. This new feature allows recruiters to leverage the connections they’ve already formed on LinkedIn, and use the enhanced recruiting and network communication tools that the Jobfox Boost solution provides, which are built for high-speed and high-scale.

Facebook Integration. When members of a recruiter’s network receive a job referral (“Boost Request”) from a recruiter, the member can now post it to their Facebook wall or send a Facebook message with one click to friends who might be right for the opening. This new feature will encourage more Boost activity, and result in higher levels of referrals for recruiters who subscribe to Jobfox Boost.

Resume Advice Network. Over the past few years, Jobfox has become the largest professional resume writing service on the Internet.  Adding to its offering, the company is now providing free resume advice to all members of the Jobfox career networking community, and anyone who opts in for free at www.jobfox.com.  The new network offers tips and advice from Jobfox’s top certified resume writers, as well as expert interviews with recruiters from top companies around the country.

“This new product update is just the beginning,” added McGovern. “Jobfox will continue to release new and unique features based on market needs. We work closely with Recruiting professionals to develop solutions that help them innovate, and are committed to building a product that is a step ahead of everyone else.”

Leading Recruitment Technology Innovator Raises Capital to Support Rapid Growth

Dan Finnigan, CEO, and Jamie Glenn, Chief Product Officer with Jobvite both appeared on the HRchitect WebMingle on July 8, 2010.

Jobvite, creator of next-generation recruiting solutions, today announced it received $15 million in Series C funding led by Trident Capital and joined by previous investors CMEA Capital and ATA Ventures. The funding will support rapid growth at Jobvite, whose customer base is now 600% the size it was two years ago. Social recruiting applications by Jobvite are now used by over 500 companies, such as Whole Foods Market, Starbucks Coffee Company, Zappos.com, Inc., Yelp and Twitter.

Jobvite provides social recruiting technologies on a subscription basis that work across social networks. The company’s enterprise solutions are proven to perform at the scale and with the reliability required by world-class companies. Jobvite’s social recruiting solutions lead the market in their proven ability to drive referral hires. Jobvite enables jobs to be shared across social networks, on websites and via email not just by recruiters and hiring managers but by every employee of its client companies.

Jobvite provides every employee of its client company with a Jobvite account and the ability to share jobs with their friends and professional network according to their personal settings. The company’s Software-as-a-Service products automate all of the steps in the hiring process and provide complete visibility via real time analytics. These analytics allow managers to see the status of searches, identify areas for improvement and optimize recruiting spend.

“The widespread adoption of social media is changing how people find jobs,” said Dan Finnigan, President and Chief Executive Officer, Jobvite. “We are leading the way to provide the new technologies companies need to find and engage quality employees where they socialize. This investment will allow us to accelerate the reshaping of the multi-billion dollar online recruitment market.”

Jobvite pioneered the social recruiting category in 2009 by introducing the first recruiting platform integrated into LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter, as well as a Facebook application for recruiting. Any job can be converted into a Jobvite, a job invitation that can be seamlessly matched, shared and tracked across multiple social networks. The company has since added hundreds of networks, increased its matching technology sophistication based on millions of hiring transactions, and introduced intelligence that analyzes recruitment marketing results anywhere on the open, social web.

Customers dramatically increase low-cost and high quality referral hires with Jobvite. Jobvite customers hire 10% of referral applicants compared to 1% of general applicants. “Because of employee sharing of Jobvites, we’ve grown referrals to 31% of all hiring. The Jobvite platform powers a pipeline of quality talent we would not otherwise reach – and have come to rely upon in an extremely competitive hiring environment,” said Peter Navin, Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Shutterfly.

  • TiVo: Referral hires have risen from 23% to 39% after three years with Jobvite.
  • Shutterfly: Makes 31% of hires through referrals; referral candidates are hired at 12 times the rate of applicants from other sources.
  • Yelp: The free Jobvite channel accounts for 9% of total hires and referrals have increased from 31% to 40% this year.

John Moragne, Senior Managing Director and Co-Founder, Trident Capital, will join the company’s Board of Directors. “Jobvite is the clear leader in social recruiting,” said Moragne. “Many key online categories are being transformed by social media and Jobvite is leading the disintermediation of the multi-billion dollar recruitment space having built a company with considerable revenue and traction during a challenging economic climate.”

Jobvite offers the first and only recruiting platform built for the social web:

  • Jobvite Source is a social sourcing and recruiter candidate relationship manager application for the open web.
  • Jobvite Hire is a socially enabled applicant tracking platform used by companies to manage the entire business process of hiring.
  • Both products include Jobvite social recruiting and employee referral technology as well as Work With Us, Jobvite’s Facebook application for recruiting.

Upgrades to SmartSearch Talent Acquisition and Recruiting Automation Software…from SmartSearch

May 9, 2009

Industry-leading applicant tracking system enhances ability to source passive candidates on popular business and social networking sites including LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter

HRchitect includes SmartSearch in our list of top Talent Acquisition Systems vendors that businesses should consider. SmartSearch competed in the HRchitect Beauty Pageant on mid-market Talent Acquisition Systems in January 2009. Doug Coull, President & CEO, and LJ Morris, CTO of SmartSearch also participated in the HRchitect WebMingle on March 6, 2009.

SmartSearch, the flagship solution from Advanced Personnel Systems, Inc. (APS), a top-rated talent acquisition management and recruiting business solution, further enhanced capabilities for its users to leverage Web 2.0 sites for sourcing passive candidates and business networking contacts. Second quarter updates to SmartSearch Version 13 and the ability for recruiters to export job postings to Facebook and MySpace, as well as for candidates to share a job through links to their personal pages. Plus, recruiters will have the ability to send job info as a twitter post. Users with a Twitter account can post job listings up to 140 characters (the Twitter maximum) and automatically load the job title and company URL for the posting. SmartSearch Version 13 already offers advanced Web 2.0 sourcing functionality such as the ability to store URL profile addresses for business contacts and prospective candidates from an unlimited number of online communities, and fast, easy access to corresponding records in the SmartSearch database. In addition, the system can be configured so that when users open a candidate or contact record already in SmartSearch, an automatic search is triggered to search the LinkedIn community to see if a matching record can be found, and then automatically update the corresponding SmartSearch record by adding the LinkedIn profile URL. Users can also manually initiate a search based on name, location, or company with a single click; a similar quick look up feature to find candidates on Twitter is in the works.

“SmartSearch has always provided a full suite of relationship management tools to support Web 2.0 sourcing with advanced XML feeds,” said Doug Coull, CEO of APS, “With the release of our Version 13 in January of 2009, we added functionality to further streamline the process and save time with one-click access to personal profiles posted on business and social networking communities such as LinkedIn.” The SmartSearch system offers proven talent management software that centralizes sourcing, recruiting, applicant tracking, and hiring activities in an online database where all the pieces come together. The built-in Web 2.0 sourcing tools and the second quarter updates to Version 13 are available to all SmartSearch users at no additional cost. These new functions are fully integrated to the base system and can be enabled by users with easy admin configuration tools.

Jobvite Delivers Industry First – Innovative Integration with Leading Social Networks to Grow Referral Hiring…from Jobvite

February 14, 2009

SaaS recruitment application brings power of LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter to help employees, recruiters and companies make quality hires

HRchitect includes Jobvite in our list of top Talent Acquisition Systems vendors that businesses should consider.

Jobvite, creator of next-generation recruitment solutions, today announced integration of its fast growing Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) recruitment application with the world’s largest professional network, LinkedIn, the leading social network, Facebook, and largest real-time short messaging service, Twitter. Now, Jobvite customers and their employees can use the valuable – and growing – contacts and information they have in their social networks to target job opportunities to qualified people in their networks – and spread the word virally.

This new product release enables customers and any employee to easily make high quality referrals with new matching technology that recommends a company’s jobs to the appropriate people in one’s immediate networks, improving hire quality and eliminating wasted time and messages. These personalized job invitations, Jobvites, immediately engage recipients – who then can easily share them as well on leading social networks, virally targeting and finding high quality candidates. This is a powerful new addition to Jobvite’s leading eRecruitment application, used by companies to manage all aspects of hiring on an easy-to-use Web 2.0 platform.

“At this time, when so many people are looking for better opportunities through the people they know, and when companies have fewer recruiters and less money for job boards, our goal is to make it possible for companies to seize this opportunity to hire great available talent by empowering their own people,” said Dan Finnigan, President and Chief Executive Officer of Jobvite. “Companies these days are filling their most critical open positions and don’t have money or time to waste. Our API integration into the leading social networks – with innovative matching of jobs to profiles – is seamlessly tied into our complete SaaS recruitment platform, enabling companies to find the best candidates most cost-effectively.”

“Our recruiting strategy has rapidly evolved with the growing pervasiveness and utility of social networks,” said Paul Whitney, Vice President of Human Resources at Infinera. “Employee referrals are the most powerful and cost effective way for us to find the special talent we hire. So enabling our employees to send Jobvites to target people in their social networks will help us recruit candidates from the most relevant talent pool.”

Jobvite customers have been raising their recruitment ROI by enabling employees to send Jobvites by email to their contacts in Outlook, Yahoo!, Hotmail and other email services. Companies can easily manage referral hiring because footprints are tracked when candidates apply so that the referral can be attributed to the right employee. At the same time, any contact information from employees’ networks remains private to the employee. With today’s integration with LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter, this social, viral distribution significantly extends the targeted reach of the company’s job invitation to find high quality people at very little cost.

Today’s product release also enables Jobvite customers to increase the engagement and effectiveness of their company career sites. Career site visitors and job seekers can now, through LinkedIn’s Company Insider widget, see who they might know in the company, increasingly likely because 33 million people now maintain professional profiles and contacts on LinkedIn. And jobseekers can also apply for the jobs on these career sites with their LinkedIn profile, providing a more rich application than just a resume. And when company recruiters are evaluating candidates, they can now easily access the candidates’ public LinkedIn profiles from within the Jobvite eRecruitment application.

In addition to enabling Jobvite users to send job invitations to Facebook friends through the Facebook Connect API, Jobvite has also created a Facebook application that enables the company and its employees to publish jobs on a fan page or on an employee’s profile page. Anyone visiting these Facebook pages can browse interesting opportunities, ask questions of their employee friend, apply to the job and send Jobvites to their contacts. The Facebook application extends the publishing capabilities of a company career site to a vastly larger group of qualified people on viral social networks.

Jobs2Web Experiences Dramatic Results During 2008…from Jobs2Web

February 9, 2009

Jobs2Web, a Web 2.0 interactive recruiting solutions provider, today released news of its business results for 2008, which included revenue growth in Q4 of 328%, despite the recent economic downturn.

“Although many organizations’ recruitment budgets will remain flat or even decline during 2009, recruiters’ workloads and sourcing expectations likely will not. We credit our company’s growth during this tumultuous economy with Jobs2Web’s ability to provide clients with a solution that helps them re-engineer their approaches to sourcing and recruiting,” stated Ken Holec, Chief Executive Officer of Jobs2Web. “Jobs2Web enables employers and recruiters to more effectively source talented candidates at a much reduced cost than what they were previously spending using traditional methods.”

Jobs2Web’s innovative Web 2.0 recruiting solutions include the Recruitment Marketing Platform, the Recruiting Dashboard, Social Network Recruiting, Talent Community Building technologies, Employee Referral Marketing, and Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) 2.0. The company’s interactive recruitment marketing solutions help employers identify and communicate with talented job seekers, including helping companies build their own talent communities of candidates. Since 2003, Jobs2Web has provided its solutions to healthcare organizations, global consulting companies, engineering firms, large national retailers, and some of the top medical technology and pharmaceutical companies within the U.S.

Jobs2Web Enjoys Growth of Client Base in 2008

Jobs2Web’s client count crossed over 90 in late 2008 including Q4 additions of Microsoft’s Entertainment and Devices business, Allina Health System, CACI, Yum! Brands and Schering-Plough. Overall, in 2008, Jobs2Web experienced growth in its client base of 162.5% over 2007.

Demonstrating the strength of the company’s solutions, Jobs2Web also experienced a high rate of multi-year renewals in 2008, with many existing clients expanding their relationships with the company by contracting for additional Jobs2Web product offerings. These client engagements included the launch of the Best Buy career site, which features enhancements to amplify Best Buy’s employment brand online and to fully engage qualified candidates.

Strategic Alliances Help Employers Maximize Recruiting Potential

Jobs2Web leveraged many partnerships in 2008 to extend the reach of its interactive talent acquisition and career site optimization solutions to an even greater potential audience. In July, the company announced a strategic partnership with NAS Recruitment Communications, the industry leader in employment branding, recruitment solutions and career site development. Branded as NAS Web 2.0 powered by Jobs2Web, Jobs2Web has enhanced NAS’s current Web 2.0 solutions by enabling the NAS network of employers to upgrade their career sites and interactive recruiting strategies in powerful new ways.

The company also recently unveiled a first-of-its-kind offering known as Jobs2Web RPO 2.0, and welcomed Pinstripe, Inc., a leading recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) company, as the first RPO to leverage the capabilities of the new solution. Designed especially to help RPO vendors improve sourcing effectiveness, RPO 2.0 enables RPO sourcing teams to tap into the high levels of quality talent acquisition and sourcing communities offered by Jobs2Web. The benefits of Jobs2Web RPO 2.0 include lower cost sourcing; shorter time-to-fill; quality talent pipelines; improved margins for recruitment process outsourcing vendors; and higher levels of customer satisfaction.

New Jobs2Web Products Create Buzz in Recruiting Industry

Much of Jobs2Web’s tremendous growth in 2008 can be attributed to the many new solutions and updated features the company rolled out last year, including the Recruiting Dashboard, which captures the referring source of each career site visitor and tags each applicant as they enter the applicant tracking system (ATS). Innovative solutions such as a centralized talent community and talent landing pages also have helped the company grow its client base in recent months. The Jobs2Web Talent Community solution helps employers build a centralized job marketing engine that automatically matches and emails every job to each candidate subscribed, inviting them to apply for future positions. With targeted talent landing page offering, Jobs2Web analyzes an employer’s hiring needs and deploys job-branded landing pages which get highly ranked for targeted keywords and attract job seekers to the company’s career site.

Also during 2008, Jobs2Web helped clients fully leverage its solution with leading social networking offerings, including LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter.

“Our success is the result of our team’s keen understanding of the challenges employers and recruiters face when attempting to stay on top of the fast-changing landscape of recruiting technologies. Jobs2Web’s primary goal is to help our clients leverage Web 2.0 technology as a key component of an interactive recruiting strategy. Our 2008 momentum has provided us with a strong start to 2009, during which we will continue to roll out new solutions and updates that will enhance our offerings,” shared Doug Berg, Founder and Chief Innovation Officer of Jobs2Web.

SmartSearch Announces Version 13 Release…from APS

January 20, 2009

Leading ATS incorporates redesigned user interface, advanced Web 2.0 social network sourcing tools, comprehensive self-configurability options, enhanced communication functionality including cell phone text messaging, plus Yahoo!-HotJobs integrated search, and more.

HRchitect includes SmartSearch in our list of top Talent Acquisition Systems vendors that businesses should consider. SmartSearch also competed in the HRchitect Beauty Pageant on mid-market Talent Acquisition Systems on January 16, 2009.

Advanced Personnel Systems, Inc. (APS) announced its Version 13 upgrade to its SmartSearch talent acquisition and recruiting business software features advanced research tools to support Web 2.0 sourcing that enables users to search and import data from popular social networking and internet sites, including Google, ZoomInfo, Pipl, and LinkedIn, Facebook and others. The new Version also upgrades performance and reliability of its CSV importing tool using .NET technology, and improved its cell-phone text messaging capabilities.

The arrival of SmartSearch Version 13 marks an updated user-interface, with a streamlined look-and-feel that saves time, and makes navigation and reporting easier than ever. Features include a new Dashboard and redesigned Work-In-Progress menu as well as graphical “reports at a glance” summaries. The more intuitive interface makes extensive use of Ajax technology and adds improvements to administrative functions, particularly in the self-configuration and self-customizable options.

Another major enhancement included in Version 13 is the upgrade of automated emails, event triggers and advanced document management to the SmartSearch HireTrak toolset, all designed to improve communication between candidates, recruiters and hiring managers throughout the hiring process and facilitate on-boarding and off-boarding. This includes the ability to add documents to customizable email templates that embed required forms and documents, built-in notifications and event triggers, and the ability to automatically notify hiring managers, new employees, payroll departments, security departments, etc.

For its staffing agency and executive search clients, Version 13 offers advanced Sales Helper tools to improve business development communications with automated emails. Several new enhancements to the SalesTrak allow users to better manage the sales process and related documentation, and facilitate more efficient communication.

Version 13 also features the addition of several new third-party vendor integrations with leading recruiting industry providers, including web sourcing tools such as Broadlook and AIRS SourcePoint, job posting aggregators eQuest and DataFrenzy, and fully integrated search with Yahoo!-HotJobs to expand search capability. Similar to previous integrations with Monster, CareerBuilder, and Dice, subscribers may now search Yahoo!-HotJobs resume databank from within the SmartSearch application and import selected candidates with a single click.
