GeoMaestro continues SaaS LMS category sweep at 2010 Best of Elearning! Reader’s Choice Awards
HRchitect includes GeoLearning in our list of top Learning Management Systems that businesses should consider. GeoLearning competed in the HRchitect Beauty Pageant on Learning Management Systems in December 2008, where they were crowned the winner. Also, Todd Premo, Director of Solutions, and Chris Lennon, Senior Product Manager, from GeoLearning appeared on the HRchitect WebMingle on February 6, 2009.
If you are looking for a new Talent Management System, or any HR system, talk to HRchitect first. GeoLearning, Inc., provider of the leading Software as a Service (SaaS) GeoMaestro Learning Management System (LMS) and comprehensive Managed Learning Services, announced today that it has been named “Best SaaS LMS” in the 2010 Best of Elearning! Reader’s Choice Awards hosted by Elearning! Magazine. The GeoMaestro LMS has taken the ”Best SaaS LMS” crown every year since the inception of the publication’s award program in 2005.
The publication asked more than 50,000 e-learning professionals to share their opinions. Ballots were cast over two months by the readers of Elearning! Magazine and e-zine, Elearning! e-newsletter and Elearning! Alert, as well as visitors to Elearning!’s website.
“The Best of Elearning! Awards program formalizes the informal word-of-mouth referrals practiced in our industry. According to our survey, 85% of professionals have personally recommended a learning solution to a colleague over the past 12 months. And, 61% agreed that award recognition impacted their buying decision,” cites Catherine Upton, group publisher of the Elearning! Media Group.
This year, the Elearning! Magazine Group received 1,730 nominations, consistent with last year’s program, making each category very competitive. “These awards continue to recognize innovation and user satisfaction across a growing number of solution providers,” cites Jerry Roche, editorial director of the Elearning! Magazine Group.
“We are just as honored now as we were six years ago when we first won this prestigious award. To be named ‘Best SaaS LMS’ for an unprecedented sixth straight time by actual LMS users validates what we do at GeoLearning, day in and day out, and is a testament to our customer dedication,” said Frank Russell, president and CEO of GeoLearning. “This award is an important measure for the products in our industry because the open vote format enables users of both the GeoLearning system and those of our competitors to cast a ballot. To repeatedly win demonstrates the ongoing usability and flexibility of our LMS and the sustainability of GeoLearning’s superior Software as a Service delivery model.”
Selected voter comments about GeoLearning and GeoMaestro were consolidated and appear in the “Best of E-Learning! Awards” issue of Elearning! Magazine (November/December 2010):
- “Rapid deployment, ease of use, ease of access for employees, and a robust set of features make managing the learning function much easier for all involved.”
- “Implementation is very user friendly, and training and support are outstanding.”
- “The (GeoMaestro) Analytics & Reporting tool is a big plus, not to mention GeoLearning’s partnership.”
GeoLearning’s award-winning SaaS model means the GeoMaestro platform is delivered entirely over the Internet, eliminating all the headaches, hassles and risks associated with traditional hardware and software implementations. The Internet-hosted learning management platform enables organizations to capture, create, manage, collaborate and share knowledge to improve workforce productivity, accelerate critical business processes and drive organizational performance. The system centralizes and automates the entire learning management process, making the administration of enterprise learning and development for both internal and external audiences effective and efficient.

GeoLearning, Inc., provider of the leading Software as a Service (SaaS) GeoMaestro Learning Management System (LMS) and comprehensive Managed Learning Services was named the top LMS brand by awareness in the 2010 Learning and Talent Management Buyer Survey conducted by E-Learning! Magazine. This study of 316 organizations provides insights into the features enterprises require, the composition of the buying team, brand awareness, and ratings of the current LMS and Talent Management (TMS) systems.
GeoLearning led the list as the top LMS brand currently used. Also, when survey participants were furnished with a list of LMS brands (prompted), GeoLearning continued to be the forerunner over other perennial LMS favorites. Similarly, GeoLearning secured a top position in the TMS brand awareness list. GeoLearning was second only to its talent and performance management partner, SuccessFactors, and was the highest ranking LMS/TMS suite in that category.
The study goes on to mention that course tracking, testing and authoring are mainstays of LMSs. However, future buyers seek more capabilities—including rapid development and collaboration—as well as talent features like performance management, skills-gap analysis and integrated enterprise features. The LMS and TMS survey research summary is available online at Learning Pros Looking to Update Their Current Learning & Talent Systems.

GeoLearning, Inc., the leading provider of on-demand learning and performance platforms, has been named to Inc. magazine’s list of the 5000 fastest-growing private companies in America. GeoLearning was ranked #4,426 on the 2009 Inc. 5000 list with a sales growth rate of 34% over the past three years. The list represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy—America’s independent-minded entrepreneurs.
Complete information on this year’s Inc. 5000, can be found at www.inc.com/inc5000. The list features a profile for each company, almost all of them written as a result of Inc. interviews with management. In addition, the list is searchable according to numerous criteria, including industry, city, state, region and year founded.
The Inc. 5000 is an extension of Inc. magazine’s annual Inc. 500 list and catches many businesses that are too big to grow at the pace required to make the Inc. 500, as well as a host of smaller firms. Taken as a whole, these companies represent the backbone of the U.S. economy. GeoLearning is a three-time Inc. 500 winner (2004 through 2006) and was named to the first ever Inc. 5000 list in 2007 and again in 2008.
“Savvy trend spotters and those who invest in private companies know that the Inc. 5000 is the best place to find out about young companies that are achieving success through a wide variety of unprecedented business models, as well as older private companies that are still expanding at an impressive rate,” said Inc. 5000 project manager Jim Melloan.
“It is a great honor to be recognized by Inc. for the sixth consecutive year,” said Frank Russell, president and CEO of GeoLearning. “The continued strength of our growth and financial performance is made possible by committed employees, world-class customers and a distinctive and scalable business model that has proven to be successful.”

Human Resources Outsourcing Today magazine has named GeoLearning to its annual “Baker’s Dozen” list of the largest providers of learning outsourcing services for a fourth consecutive year. GeoLearning made the annual list with an estimated 14,000,000 employees trained in 2008.
The top 13 providers in the learning services outsourcing space are profiled in the January/February 2009 issue of the publication and online.
HRO Today arrived at the “Baker’s Dozen” by asking learning buyers to participate in an online, anonymous survey regarding their experience with their current service provider. The survey instrument measured user satisfaction along with breadth and quality of service and deal size, as well as other issues. HRO Today ranked only providers for which we were able to compile enough statistically valid customer data.
GeoLearning was also named to HRO Today’s “Baker’s Dozen” the previous 3 years with an estimated 13 million, 12 million and 10 million employees trained respectively.
