MrTed’s highly regarded MrTedTalentLink product, a fully SaaS-based offering, is recognised for a high level of innovation and flexibility in its architecture, which allows it to be rapidly configured to support individual user requirements within the context of a standardised, SaaS-based corporate environment.  As such it delivers both high levels of  user satisfaction and operational efficiency while remaining cost-effective to deploy and manage in the largest, multi-national enterprise talent acquisition projects. MrTedTalentLink has earned top marks from industry analysts. Gartner Group,  positioned MrTed in the “Visionaries” quadrant of its 2009 Magic Quadrant for e-Recruitment Software.  In its 2009 and soon-to-be-published 2010 studies of talent acquisition systems, Bersin & Associates highlights MrTedTalentLink’s advanced cloud architecture, application portability and dynamic user interface.

“Our immediate experience of working with the MrTed team, customers and products has been very rewarding, with a strong similarity in our cultures and processes,” said StepStone Solutions CEO, Matthew Parker. “The increase that MrTed brings in many areas of capability, combined with the global reach, customer base and market expertise of StepStone Solutions, give us an unmatched ability to serve customers of all types and sizes in every market including Europe, Asia-Pacific and the US.”

“This acquisition makes absolute sense,” said Josh Bersin, president of Bersin & Associates, a leading research and advisory firm focused on enterprise talent management and learning.  “Combined, these two companies have significant global market share.  We estimate that the talent acquisition market will continue to grow by about 10% over the next year, with much of that growth coming from global expansion.  Stepstone Solutions is well positioned to capitalise on this opportunity.”

The MrTedTalentLink product will continue to be developed, marketed and fully supported under the ownership of StepStone Solutions.

“I’m delighted that MrTedTalentLink, our staff and customers have found such a great home under the StepStone Solutions brand,” said Jerome Ternynck, MrTed’s former CEO, who will continue to work with StepStone Solutions in an advisory capacity. “Our customers should be particularly pleased as this acquisition will enhance the value they will get from their investment in MrTedTalentLink through the greater resources of a major player like StepStone Solutions.”

MTV Turns on StepStone’s e-recruitment Solution…from StepStone

July 11, 2009

HRchitect featured StepStone in our May 2008 release of The Suite Life of Integrated Talent Management and also includes them in our list of top Talent Management Systems vendors that businesses should consider. If you are looking for a new Talent Management System, or any HR system, talk to HRchitect first. We have unparalleled knowledge of the HR and Talent Management vendor community and can save you time and money in selection and implementation.

StepStone (OSE:STP)(LSE:STPS), Europe’s leading provider of human capital management solutions, today announces that MTV Networks, the world’s most watched television network, is now using StepStone’s e-recruitment solution to drive online recruitment across its business, reduce time to hire and cut recruitment costs. MTV joins other media businesses, including Channel 4, RTL and Bertelsmann, that have implemented StepStone solutions to streamline their recruitment processes and attract the most talented candidates.

“StepStone’s solution will cover both the MTV and Nickelodeon brands,” explains Kelvin Warburton, HR Manager, MTV Networks. “We want and need to hire the most talented people in every role, to keep MTV as the best, most successful network TV provider. We chose StepStone because of its track record in promoting employer brands through offering a great candidate experience, which is a must for a brand of our global stature, and for its ability to reduce time and cost to hire.”

Home to comedy, music and children’s TV channels, such as MTV, Comedy Central and Nickelodeon, MTV Networks has 122 channels and 94 websites, attracting audiences of more than 440 million households in 167 countries. The StepStone implementation covers MTV Networks UK & Ireland, MTV Networks International and MTV Networks Emerging Markets, enabling candidates to apply for positions through its online careers site, www.mtvcareers.co.uk.

Like many companies, prior to implementing the StepStone solution, MTV had a mainly paper-based recruitment process. The implementation of StepStone’s platform has streamlined the process from initial application through to starting and beyond, and reduced the administrative burden placed on the team members. As part of the implementation, StepStone supported the network’s plans to introduce an Intranet site highlighting internal job opportunities to improve the ratio of internal to external hires and help retain MTV’s top talent.

“This was a very well run project by StepStone,” adds Brian Coghlan, the Project Manager at MTV. “Thanks to a lot of dedication by all involved, it was delivered on time, to budget and to requirements – what more could we ask for?”

Matthew Parker, Group Managing Director of StepStone Solutions, comments: “In a tough market, finding and keeping the best people just gets more and more important. Smart businesses are developing their employer brands to attract and engage with great candidates. Companies like MTV understand the wider impact of brand perception in the recruitment process, in addition to the significant cost and time savings e-recruitment solutions can help achieve.”
