The new version adds extensive new configuration capabilities, an enhanced apps library with new generation apps, and numerous workspace improvements. MrTedTalentLink v10.1 is immediately available for all customers through StepStone Solutions global hosting centres.

“The product roadmap for version 10.1 was driven by customer requests, and delivers enhanced usability and configuration capabilities to support our customer’s stated talent acquisition priorities,” says Matthew Parker, StepStone Solutions’ CEO. “For example, by creating a configurable candidate personal information form, recruiters have full control over the candidate experience. This new feature underlines the flexibility of our SaaS solution.”

Other key new features delivered to customers in StepStone Solutions MrTedTalentLink 10.1 include:

Substantial enhancements to the application process that give the recruiter full control over the candidate experience through new configuration options within the Personal Information Form (PIF). Each site or sourcing channel can present a different PIF, allowing an optimised experience for each job type and control of the candidate experience during the application process. The availability of Custom Translation Sets for standard labels in the application process also allow tailoring the application process to use it for a variety of purposes. Finally, candidates who apply within their candidate career portal now enjoy the Auto Save of their application every time they navigate from one step to the next.

MrTedTalentLink comes with a redesigned apps library for faster and more convenient navigation, and faster search. StepStone Solutions is introducing a new generation of more complex apps – such as the pre-screening app – allowing recruiters to make decisions on a candidate directly from the workspace.

In MrTedTalentLink v10.1 the workspace logic has been enhanced, resulting in a much faster loading time when navigating to the workspace.

New additions in the area of volume recruitment and time sheet management, such as Form Sharing, which enables recruiters to re-use the output of screening steps for later applications, and the possibility to define multiple timesheets approvers for contractors.

MrTedTalentLink v10.1 is now available for all customers using MrTedTalentLink.

Jerome Ternynck, CEO of MrTed appeared on the HRchitect WebMingle on May 22, 2009. If you are looking for a new Talent Management System, or any HR system, talk to HRchitect first. We have unparalleled knowledge of the HR and Talent Management vendor community and can save you time and money in selection and implementation.

MrTed Ltd, the global leader of Talent Acquisition Solutions, today announced it is a founding launch partner of EuroCloud, Europe’s new cloud computing network of organizations created to further the SaaS revolution.

“With our strong belief in leveraging cloud computing to design enterprise-level talent acquisition solutions that are also consumer-friendly and easily personalized, we are excited to be involved in a partnership and community like EuroCloud to promote and encourage greater development and use of Software as a Service and Enterprise Cloud services and applications across Europe”, said Jerome Ternynck, CEO for MrTed.

EuroCloud was and is conceived by Pierre-José Billotte, President and Founder of the French ASP Forum, with a team of SaaS and cloud computing players from the UK, Denmark, Finland, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg and Spain, to gather together leading SaaS vendors, enablers, integrators and industry experts to share best practices and expand business across the continent.

“The cloud model stands for global reach, ecosystem partnerships and integration, and my goal in developing EuroCloud is to encourage SaaS and cloud services and applications across Europe, and to advance their use,” Billotte said.

The leading research and advisory consulting firm Bersin & Associates said in its September, 2009, assessment1 of the state of the talent acquisition market that MrTedTalentLink Cloud 9 “brings the next generation Talent Acquisition Solution towards the market, (as it) will fully embrace the cloud computing technology and enhance its partnerships.”

“The MrTedTalentLink Cloud9 release will see general availability on December 31, letting users kick off the New Year in style with the world’s most advanced talent acquisition software platform,” Ternynck said.

“Organizations throughout Europe are rapidly moving toward cloud computing solutions to expand business, eliminate overly expensive and unfriendly software that isn’t personalized, doesn’t respond quickly enough to changing business demands and is simply outmoded,” Ternynck said. “We are eager to see organizations like EuroCloud propel greater adoption of models of cloud computing that truly represent the next generation.”

EuroCloud’s launch was supported by major companies in Europe and the United States that, like MrTed, do business in multiple international markets, and were selected to join EuroCloud based on the European scope of their business. MrTed to Kick Off 2010 with Revolutionary New Platform…from MrTed

December 11, 2009

Advanced Cloud Architecture, Application Portability, and Redesigned User Interface Highlight MrTedTalentLink Version 9, Launching December 31

HRchitect includes MrTed and SmartRecruiters in our list of top Talent Acquisition Systems vendors that businesses should consider.

MrTed today announced that the latest iteration of its flagship product – MrTedTalentLink v9 – will reach general availability on December 31, enabling users to kick-off the New Year in style with the world’s most advanced talent acquisition software platform.

For 10 years MrTed has been at the forefront of innovation in the cloud computing business, and MrTedTalentLink 9 continues the tradition. For the first time users can completely customize the MrTedTalentLink platform according to their unique needs and preferences – a significant achievement that has broad implications in terms of product usability and return on investment – and the architecture and user interface have been redesigned per the latest cloud computing protocols. The new platform reflects the desires of the user community with whom MrTed worked closely for three years to ensure the most flexible, enjoyable talent acquisition experience possible.

Introducing MrTedTalentLink 9

“This is an all-new breed of talent acquisition software that we believe users are absolutely going to love,” said Jerome Ternynck, CEO at MrTed. “We have gone to great lengths to make Cloud 9 a special product that fundamentally changes the way recruiters interact with their talent acquisition platform. The response from early adopters has been tremendously positive. I’m happy to say that MrTed has once again set the standard for talent acquisition software.”

Leading research and advisory consulting firm Bersin & Associates, in their September 2009 assessment of the state of the talent acquisition market said MrTedTalentLink Cloud 9 “brings the next generation Talent Acquisition Solution towards the market, (as it) will fully embrace the cloud computing technology and enhance its partnerships.”

Key Enhancements and Benefits

Advanced cloud computing technology – MrTedTalentLink 9’s new architecture is the result of over three years of research by MrTed. It features a configurable candidate database that can easily integrate data from any source, an independent business logic layer exposed through web services, and an on-demand user interface so recruiters can customize their own workspaces. This open architecture makes it fast and easy to connect with other talent management and HR applications, so users get the full benefit of cloud computing on their desktop.

A world of apps – MrTedTalentLink 9 presents business processes as portable application modules that users can turn on, turn off, or customize to create a truly personalized experience. Cloud 9 includes apps for all major business processes, including internal and external recruitment, outplacement, contingent workforce management, vendor management, candidate processing, time sheeting, offer management, on-boarding and more. Apps are portable and can be used with other systems and interfaces, while external applications developed by other vendors can be integrated inside the Cloud 9 workspace. By leveraging the power of MrTed apps, users can enjoy the benefits of a personalized platform that meets their individual needs and preferences.

Dynamic user interface – MrTedTalentLink 9 users are free to configure and rearrange apps in order to create a personalized workspace and navigation experience. The dynamic interactivity of the user interface allows apps to be resized, dragged, dropped and even layered. Even though the interface processes large amounts of data, Cloud 9’s asynchronous data retrieval keeps the presentation layer running quickly and smoothly—a result that can only be described as enjoyable for the user. Users spend most of their time in a dynamic and personalized workspace, rather than jumping from screen to screen or module to module. In this way MrTedTalentLink more closely resembles a favorite website than like an enterprise software program.

“We’ve all seen or experienced enterprise software that claims to be flexible and user friendly but is not,” said Robert Chwastek, MrTed’s VP Product Development. “What stands out about MrTedTalentLink 9 is the extent to which the product can be shaped to meet each user’s individual requirements. This truly is the most open enterprise software product with which I’ve seen, and that openness is key to increasing user adoption, user productivity and user enjoyment. “

MrTed Introduces Cloud 9, the Next Generation of Talent Acquisition Solutions…from MrTed

July 8, 2009

New Release Reinvents the Enterprise Software User Experience

HRchitect includes MrTed and SmartRecruiters in our list of top Talent Acquisition Systems vendors that businesses should consider.

The world of talent acquisition software is being revolutionized, starting today. MrTed Ltd, the global leader of Talent Acquisition Solutions, is pleased to announce the upcoming release of MrTedTalentLink Version 9, named Cloud 9, the next-generation talent acquisition solution designed to bring the benefits of cloud computing to the end user.

Built on an advanced cloud computing architecture, Cloud 9 offers an engaging new user experience with a world of application modules (Apps) that can be added to your personalized workspace. Apps are delivered in a dynamic graphical user interface (GUI) that revolutionizes the enterprise software user experience to focus on individual preferences, roles and work styles. Cloud 9 offers users and organizations complete freedom; they can access the information they need when and where they need it.

“With Cloud 9, we have totally redefined the user experience of enterprise software for talent acquisition,” said Jerome Ternynck, CEO and co-founder of MrTed. “We’ve created a revolutionary solution that gives users robust features, incredible flexibility and dynamic user-interface – whenever they need it, wherever they are. We’re changing the world of both talent acquisition and cloud computing today.”

Cloud Computing Technology

Cloud 9’s advanced Cloud Computing architecture is the result of over 3 years of research by MrTed. It features a configurable candidate database that can easily integrate data from any source, an independent business logic layer exposed through web services and an on-demand GUI so end users can customize their own workspaces. This open architecture makes it fast and easy to connect with other talent management and HR applications. Organizations and end-users get the full benefit of cloud computing to their desktop.

A World of Apps

Cloud 9 presents business processes as portable application modules that end users can turn on, turn off or customize to create a true personalized experience. Cloud 9 includes Apps for all major business processes, including internal and external recruitment, outplacement, contingent workforce management, vendor management, candidate processing, time sheeting, offer management, on-boarding and more. The cloud computing architecture allows the Apps to be portable and used with other systems and interfaces. Equally, external applications developed by other vendors can be integrated inside the Cloud 9 workspace. By leveraging the power of the MrTed Apps, end users can enjoy the benefits of a personalized Talent Acquisition Solution that meets their individual role and requirements.

Dynamic Graphical User Interface

Cloud 9 users are free to configure and rearrange Apps and create a personalized workspace and navigation experience. The dynamic interactivity of the user interface allows Apps to be resized, dragged, dropped and even layered. Even though the GUI processes large amounts of data, Cloud 9’s asynchronous data retrieval keeps the presentation layer running quickly and smoothly. The result can only be described as enjoyable for the user. Cloud 9 performs more like your favorite web site than like a multi-module legacy suite. Users can spend most of their time in a dynamic and personalized workspace, rather than jumping from screen to screen and module to module looking for what they need.

MrTed Stuns Recruiting Software Market with Breakout 2008 Performance…from MrTed

March 6, 2009

Talent Acquisition Leader Reports Record Sales and Profits, As Customers Look to Lower Costs Associated With the Still-Critical Process of Employee Recruiting

HRchitect includes MrTed in our list of top Talent Acquisition Systems vendors that businesses should consider.

Cost-cutting companies in 2008 swarmed to recruiting software leader MrTed, resulting in a sharp increase in both sales and profits for the award-winning provider of talent management solutions. For the year, MrTed grew sales by 30%, while profits follow with 30% year-over-year. The dramatic spike in both areas comes amid a rise in global unemployment and a widespread slowdown in the business software market. Despite the sagging economy, many enterprises and government agencies continue to recruit and hire; only now they are looking to do so more cost-effectively than in years past. For these companies that means automating key recruiting processes and deploying software that is inexpensive to deploy as well as to maintain – each of which is an area of strength for MrTed.

Hiring Less Expensively
A pioneer in delivering software-as-a-service talent management solutions and the largest non-U.S. recruiting software vendor, MrTed is expert at helping businesses lower recruiting costs and improve recruiting efficiencies. The company’s MrTedTalentLink solution is used by hundreds of large enterprises and numerous Fortune 1000 organizations. And late last year MrTed launched SmartRecruiters, a 100% free applicant tracking system (ATS) for the small and midsized business (SMB) community. MrTed’s wide variety of web-based recruiting applications automate the key business processes that drive employee hiring, and its solutions are delivered via the on-demand model, which significantly lowers the cost of hiring for companies and eliminates the need for internal resources to manage the recruiting system.

“The idea that companies are hiring and therefore need recruiting systems seems counterintuitive in a time of layoffs, but progressive enterprises clearly recognize that finding and hiring the best people—particularly in a down economy—is integral to a successful business recovery,” said Jerome Ternynck, CEO at MrTed. “While other talent management vendors tinker with performance and payroll applications of diminishing value, MrTed remains committed to delivering best-of-breed talent acquisitions software that help companies lower recruiting costs so they can grow their businesses. Our record growth in the past year is a strong indicator that MrTed has identified the correct balance between systematic collaboration with users, resource allocation to fuel product innovation, and the regular release of stand-out talent management applications.”

Key Growth Areas
Growth was the theme across MrTed’s business in 2008. Multiple segments of the company, including its enterprise and channel sales businesses, grew rapidly. At the same time, MrTed expanded its reach into a new market with the introduction of SmartRecruiters, a product designed specifically for U.S. SMBs. Following are a few of the highlights:

• Fortune 1000 business on the rise – MrTed continued to grow its base of Fortune 1000 customers last year, as more industry leaders chose MrTedTalentLink to ensure the highest-quality candidate experience and optimum recruiter effectiveness. MrTed’s solutions allow enterprise organizations to lower the cost of, rather than cutting back the process of, tracking, assessing and managing the candidates who will meet talent requirements across the business.

• More RPOs choose MrTed – Several recruitment process outsourcer (RPO) firms adopted or expanded their use of MrTedTalentLink, based on the strength of its cost/benefit rationalization combined with its power to help RPOs replicate processes across widely varying, customer-defined recruiting continuums. The solution can accommodate the broad array of technologies, methodologies and reporting which are often dictated by RPO’s diverse base of client companies. RPOs praise MrTedTalentLink’s ‘one-to-many’ infrastructure for enabling the cost-cutting and economies of scale that deliver financial benefit. Chris Hornsby, business solutions manager at RPO, Ochre House, said: “We wanted to be in a position to offer our clients a tailored solution underpinned by our in-house consulting, implementation and ongoing support capability. MrTed provides us the ability to offer such solutions.”

• SMBs take notice – Over 400 SMBs have signed-up to use MrTed’s feature-rich, Open SaaS, pay-per-use ATS, SmartRecruiters, since the product was launched in October 2008. Targeted to the six million U.S. businesses with as many as 2,500 employees, SmartRecruiters serves the new generation of web-savvy SMB recruiters with a free, easy-to-use, open architecture. MrTed’s SMB users understand the value gap between the practical, efficient SmartRecruiters approach and the licensing and hosting fee burden of the traditional ATS. “SmartRecruiters is designed to disrupt the ATS market in the same way Google has with many of its free services,” said Peter Gold, founder at Hire Strategies, a UK-based a consulting business that helps large employers maximize social media as part of their talent management strategy. “The launch of SmartRecruiters, and its instant success in the market, demonstrates MrTed’s savvy grasp of SMB needs.”

“Undoubtedly these are challenging times for businesses, if enterprises ever were going to rationalize their recruitment function, now is the good time to do, and on that subject we are extremely optimistic,” noted Ternynck. “The combination of strong domain expertise, our best-of-breed Talent Acquisition Solution for Enterprise and RPO market and our exciting new solution for the SMB market has MrTed well-positioned to support clients to standardize and automate processes to increase the efficiency and reduce costs”.
