Peoplefluent®, offering a unique combination of best-of-breed social, mobile and cloud-based solutions for Talent Management, Vendor Management and Workforce Compliance and Diversity, was recognized as a market leader in recruitment and compensation management software in new MarketScape reports released June 30th by IDC, a market intelligence and advisory services firm.
Peoplefluent was recognized as a leader in two marketplace vendor assessments, citing its breadth of capabilities across both permanent and contingent recruiting processes, deep compensation planning and budgeting capabilities, end-user experience, strong partnering track record and solid R&D resources that drive an ever-expanding depth of capabilities.
”Peoplefluent’s compensation is very deep on planning and budgeting for both compensation professionals and managers. Peoplefluent’s recruiting supports hourly, salaried, high volume hiring and contingent labor,” said Lisa Rowan, IDC’s Program Director for HR, Learning, and Talent Management. “Peoplefluent’s continued investments in their research and development, functionality and user experience show in their recruitment and compensation management tools, making them a leader in these analyses.”
Peoplefluent Recruitment software links managers and recruiters to provide businesses with a streamlined system for acquiring top talent in each workforce segment, including for positions that are salaried, hourly, contingent or high-volume. It offers managers one-stop shopping for a wide array of talent acquisition needs, ranging from managing internal talent pools to guidance on using social networks like LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter to find and evaluate job candidates. Peoplefluent Recruitment conveniently offers all of these services on mobile devices.
Peoplefluent Compensation provides businesses with user-friendly systems to track and allocate rewards and pay among employees, manage compensation budgets and manipulate payout cycles to reflect compensation changes brought about by job promotions, retention incentives and employee recognition awards. It is currently the only product on the market that offers businesses enhanced flexibility and visibility without the hassles or costs associated with customized software code. Earlier this month, research firm Ventana Research gave Peoplefluent Compensation the industries’ highest marks for total compensation management.
IDC, a premier global market intelligence and advisory services firm, compiled in-depth qualitative and quantitative comparative data on vendors in the integrated talent management technology market. IDC analysts based their scoring on detailed surveys and interviews with vendors, publicly available information and end-user experiences.

Interactive Functionality includes Intuitive Navigation, Dashboards with Drag-and-Drop Widgets, Interactive Icons and New Candidate Comparison Feature
HRchitect includes Peoplefluent in our list of top Talent Acquisition Systems vendors and top Talent Management Systems vendors that businesses should consider. Peoplefluent™, offering a unique combination of best-of-breed mobile and SaaS suite solutions for Talent Management, Vendor Management and Workforce Compliance and Diversity, today announced the general availability of the latest version of its Vendor Management System, VMS 6.0. Consistent with the Company’s global Recruitment Management System (RMS), Peoplefluent VMS 6.0 features intuitive navigation, dashboards with drag-and-drop widgets and single sign-on, easy-to-use approach.
Peoplefluent’s Vendor Management applications provide important visibility into the extended workforce – including contingent and contract workers, as well as an organization’s services procurement spend – allowing organizations to better manage their spend, compliance, risk and efficiency. By addressing the total workforce, VMS 6.0 enables organizations to gain control over talent decisions, driving improved productivity while averting the misclassification and other issues related to contingent workforce management.
Tom Tisdale, Senior Vice President at Peoplefluent, said, “With VMS 6.0, the user experience supports stakeholder collaboration, including line of business employees, engagement managers and senior management. VMS provides a 360 degree view of contingent labor as part of an overall workforce strategy.” He continued, “Our ability to manage talent acquisition and integration in a single solution suite, combined with VMS intelligent analytics, rate benchmarking and ability to integrate with other key human resource management functionality, furthers Peoplefluent’s vision of harnessing the power of talent.”
Also new in VMS 6.0 is Candidate Comparison. This feature enables users to select and compare the candidates submitted to a requisition based on selection criteria they define. Candidate Comparison presents selected candidates as side-by-side views to enable managers to evaluate best fit candidates based on the criteria that matters to them. Candidate Comparison also helps to standardize the decision-making process, ensuring the choices are based on objective measures.
Growing concerns about the disparities between required skills and available talent have forced organizations to source talent globally as well as to recruit “free agent” or contingent workers. While expanding the talent pool in this manner delivers benefits such as cost control and the ability to satisfy “one off” project requirements, intensifying governance pressures mean companies need to carefully manage the risks associated with independent contractors and vendors. VMS 6.0 has been especially designed to assist organizations through proper vendor management and reporting.
Tisdale continued, “When we speak with executives, managers and HR professionals alike, there is one pervasive need: a single, consolidated view of HR. Peoplefluent continues to support this requirement through our comprehensive Talent Management applications, whether they are accessed over the Web or on mobile devices.”
VMS 6.0 also provides a flexible, global solution designed to address the Agency Workers Regulation. Designed to support U.K. and European obligations, the solution’s new configuration settings and fields offer program management teams the appropriate level of information to meet various implementation styles. By enabling these features, organizations can measure contingent worker length in service by job function; capture permanent employee equivalent numeration packages; and associate umbrella worker types.
Already in use by several high profile healthcare and business services organizations, VMS 6.0 is available now.

Company’s Innovative “Workforce Explorer Challenge” Offers Fun and Engaging Way for Managers to Gain Critical Insight about Their Employees
HRchitect includes Peoplefluent in our list of top Talent Acquisition Systems vendors and top Talent Management Systems vendors that businesses should consider. If you are looking for a new Talent Management System, or any HR system, don’t rely solely on “recommendations” or published reports. Do yourself a huge favor and talk to HRchitect first. After 15 years, HRchitect has unparalleled knowledge of the HR and Talent Management vendor community and can save you time and money in selection and implementation. Simply put, do not invest in any kind of HR technology without consulting with the experts first. HRchitect is always available to help!
Peoplefluent™, an industry-leading Talent Management solutions provider, today announced the latest release of its Workforce Explorer iPad® app. Available for free download from Apple’s App StoreSM, the new version includes a first of its kind gamification functionality, called “Workforce Explorer Challenge.” Leveraging the use of gamification as an effective method for training and self-learning, the app was developed to provide users with live data to gain greater insight into the skills of their workers and identify high-potential employees.
The new version of the Workforce Explorer app enables executives, managers and HR to manage talent in an accurate and highly visual manner. Designed to further engage and enable the mobile manager, the app leverages existing data sources across the enterprise to extract and integrate information from disparate sources. With the new and ground breaking Workforce Explorer Challenge game, line managers using the new app will be able to maximize their use of the system through a fun and engaging way.
Peoplefluent is one of the first companies in the HR category to use gamification in talent management, recognizing how gaming can make the talent management process more interactive. Once connected to the user’s workforce, the game uses live employee data to create questions, allowing managers to learn about the critical talent data points of their employees.
The game works by generating custom questions for line managers, based on specific data in such categories as performance, compensation, flight risk and employment history. If the user does not know the answer to a question, the user can search Workforce Explorer to find the answer, receiving a tip if the user is unsure of where to find it. After a total of five questions, the game is complete and the user can then play again with a new set of questions.
Accessed on their iPads, the mobile functionality enables managers to play the game at their convenience. It also allows them to become more familiar with the many functionalities of Workforce Explorer, ensuring they get maximum value from the app. As the game also includes music, sound effects and dynamic transitions and animations, it is an engaging method for gaining key insight about employees that can be used to make smarter talent management decisions based on actual data.
“We are pleased to have broken new ground by developing the first of its kind game that makes our talent management software even more relevant and engaging,” said Doug Ring, Chief Technology Officer for Peoplefluent. “Rather than combing through endless employee files, Workforce Explorer Challenge puts key information about employees right at their managers’ fingertips. We plan on using the same technology to develop additional innovative learning apps.”

Peoplefluent Expands Reach into Canadian Market, Providing RMS Product to Largest Health Club Company in Canada

Peoplefluent™, offering a unique combination of best-of-breed mobile and SaaS suite solutions for Talent Management, Vendor Management and Workforce Compliance and Diversity, today announced details of its latest expansion into the Canadian market by partnering with GoodLife Fitness. The largest fitness company in Canada, GoodLife employs approximately 10,000 people across the country and boasts almost 300 locations. With continued growth expected, the company will rely on Peoplefluent’s Recruitment Management System (RMS) to improve the efficiency of its hiring processes.
GoodLife, based in London, Ontario and sponsor of the annual GoodLife Toronto Marathon, is undergoing a rapid expansion of its brand. Anticipating further growth, the company upgraded its recruiting solution for its growing staffing requirements. As GoodLife hires almost 300 employees per month, the company was looking for a way to improve hiring processes by implementing a robust and flexible solution that would be able to keep up with expected growth. The company licensed Peoplefluent RMS to achieve improvement in its applicant tracking process, increased onboarding efficiency and greater quality of hire while speeding the candidate decision process.
RMS is the first Peoplefluent product to be used by GoodLife and went ‘live’ in December, ensuring that the company was sufficiently staffed for the annual increase in membership at the beginning of the new year. The first stage of the process will be to help GoodLife improve its applicant tracking process, enabling the company to find the right talent from its candidate pool. Such an improvement will accelerate the entire hiring process for the organization and result in a more efficient time to hire and reduced hiring costs.
Along with improved hiring and onboarding processes, GoodLife will benefit from RMS being able to integrate seamlessly with the advanced analytics engine that is part of the GoodLife Marketing Recruitment Platform. Combining the robust applicant tracking of RMS and its advanced analytics capabilities with the marketing platform has already delivered actionable business insights related to sourcing, hiring procedures and financial reporting.
“As we plan to open more locations and increase our hiring throughout 2012, we needed to partner with an organization that could keep pace with our hiring needs and help us to improve our recruitment strategy,” said Steve Groves, vice president & CIO, GoodLife Fitness. “After considering several different vendors, we realized that Peoplefluent provided the best solutions to help us meet our goals.”

New Mobile Integration Suite Captures and Correlates Data and Information from Disparate TM and ERP Systems to Extend the Life of Current Corporate Investments
Peoplefluent™, offering a unique combination of best-of-breed mobile and SaaS suite solutions for Talent Management, Vendor Management and Workforce Compliance and Diversity, today announced its Workforce Explorer application has been selected for presentation during the HR Technology Conference and Expo’s “Awesome New Technologies for HR” session. Workforce Explorer is an iPad® application that enables executives, managers and HR to manage talent in an accurate and highly visual manner. Workforce Explorer is part of Peoplefluent’s “Fluency on the Move” product suite.
Conference co-chair Bill Kutik said, “Every summer, I spend July and August watching online product demonstrations, in addition to the ones I view throughout the year. This year’s six featured companies were culled from a field of more than 60 for their innovative and high quality software.” He continued, “The sales figures for iPads, the anecdotes of getting access to corporate networks, and every prognosticator make it clear that tablet computing is a major part of our future. Peoplefluent has one of the best iPad apps I saw in selecting presenters for the ‘Awesome New Technologies for HR’ session.”
Addressing the portable digitized world of the new work culture, Peoplefluent has developed a suite of mobile applications native to the majority mobile user environment. The Company has not simply ported desktop data and screens to a readable format in the tablet and handheld arena. Peoplefluent has built, from the ground up, unique mobile experiences that integrate and correlate the most relevant information across all applications and data sources within the Talent management universe. In so doing, the Company is delivering a true data integration and investment optimization through a comprehensive mobile vision.
“While our tablet strategy is being bundled into a marketplace of emerging mobile product launches, our product premise far surpasses the simple requirements of mobility and efficiency,” said Charles S. Jones, Chairman and CEO of Peoplefluent. “We conceived this vision around a broader analytics and integration effort – one that fully understands the disruption and expense associated with replacing current enterprise-wide solutions. Our mobile suite will not only sit on top of the Talent Management software, but also on ERP applications across the entire organization. By unleashing the value of all of the resources and data within the business, Peoplefluent is extending the life of existing investments by capturing and correlating information from among multiple disparate systems.”
The HR Technology Conference and Expo will be held at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas, October 3 – 5, 2011. Open to full conference attendees, the Awesome New Technologies for HR session – during which each selected vendor will present for 10 minutes – is scheduled for Tuesday, October 4, 2011 from 4 – 5:15 p.m.
Detailed information about Workforce Explorer will be announced on the opening day of the event. Demonstrations of Workforce Explorer will be available throughout the conference in Peoplefluent’s booth no. 707.

New Look and Feel Advances User Experience; Enhancements Improve Workflows and Add Platform-Agnostic Framework for Mobile Applications
Peoplefluent, offering a unique combination of best-of-breed mobile and SaaS suite solutions for Talent Management, Vendor Management and Workforce Compliance and Diversity, today unveiled details of Version 5.0 of its Recruitment Management System (RMS). With this version, the single sign-on user interface to Peoplefluent’s global RMS has been updated to align with the UI of its award-winning talent management system. This significant user interface change will also be reflected in the company’s Vendor Management System (VMS) offering later this year.
Intelligently driving decisions in an actionable manner, RMS 5.0 eliminates the “hunt and search” approach to finding important information that is a challenge for other recruiting systems, by placing data and analysis at the forefront of the solution. Proactively harnessing the power of corporate data is part of Peoplefluent’s vision, exemplified with their launch of the Decision Views platform in 2009 and validated by the company’s 2011 acquisition of Aquire, a global leader in workforce planning and analytics solutions.
In response to the increase of the number of enterprise smartphone and tablet app users – forecast to be as high as 830 million by 2016 according to ABI Research – Release 5.0 has a platform-agnostic framework that better positions the application to take advantage of mobile devices such as the iPad (see Peoplefluent’s Fluency on the Move mobile applications launched earlier this month). This change also increases the number of browsers supported by RMS such as Firefox, Chrome and Safari.
“As more organizations seek to enable their workforces with applications that traverse a wide range of devices – desktops, laptops, smartphones and tablets – it’s crucial that we be platform-agnostic and deliver the industry’s leading user interface. Our clients are telling us that having relevant data presented to them in an intuitive, easy-to-navigate manner enables them to gain efficiencies and make better business decisions more quickly. Peoplefluent is committed to listening closely to our customers and turning their requirements into reality,” said Tom Tisdale, SVP of Sales for Peoplefluent.
Recognizing how busy HR professionals and corporate recruiters interact with applications, colleagues and candidates, Version 5.0 of RMS incorporates a number of significant Recruiting Portal user interface updates that add value without changing the respective task such as:
- Workflow improvements that increase hiring workflow navigation and visibility
- Dashboards using drag-and-drop widgets that provide easy access
- A redesigned contemporary user interface featuring interactive icons and intuitive navigation
To lend further support, substantive application changes include the ability to view full lists of candidates and improved candidate search functionality; visual indicators highlighting where candidates are in the workflow; “export on-the-fly” capability; and email spell check and calendar tools. RMS 5.0 adds to the self-service administration capabilities of career site management, putting greater control in the hands of customers. For example, customers may choose to deployment options that let candidates complete a full job application on their mobile devices. With RMS 5.0, organizations can readily edit the text at their career sites, ensuring convenience, cost savings and the flexibility needed to support employment branding initiatives.
Version 5.0 of Peoplefluent’s RMS is available now.

Today’s news, in conjunction with the “Fluency on the Move” mobile product line introduced by Peoplefluent earlier this month, underscores the Company’s intuitive talent management strategy designed to drive engagement by creating innovative, immediate and interactive experiences through the communities, devices and methods naturally preferred and undertaken by the user.
“The individual is today’s new system of record. In an emerging landscape, where shifting cultural and professional dynamics and rapidly evolving technology enablement have changed the relationship between employees and employers, LinkedIn has become the preeminent resource for individual Talent Profiles,” said Charles S. Jones, Chairman and CEO of Peoplefluent. “Consistent with our overarching intuitive talent management strategy and recent product innovations, we are helping our customers find the talent they need by giving them the easy, engaging and immediate ability to meet potential candidates where they already are — in their own powerful interactive communities.”
Concur, as a global leader in integrated travel and expense management, is the first of several Peoplefluent customers to expand its existing Peoplefluent Recruiting Solution with the “Apply With LinkedIn” integration. The company will implement the “Apply with LinkedIn” functionality across all of its career sites and its corporate site, in a phased strategy over the next several months, beginning with TripIt, their leading mobile trip organizer.
“LinkedIn represents a highly qualified and professionally engaged pool of talent, and it’s in Concur’s best interest to make the application process as easy as possible,” said Shelly Holt,Director of Global Staffingfor Concur. “We are committed to reaching and identifying the highest quality candidates for our rapidly growing business units like TripIt, and to making every interaction with our business a simple and welcoming experience. We are delighted about the impact that this integration will have on our recruiting initiatives, beginning with TripIt.”
Further expanding the functionality of its broad Recruiting Solution, Peoplefluent has developed key product integrations with LinkedIn’s leading professional platform. With this effort, Peoplefluent is streamlining the application process for job seekers and broadening the candidate pool for companies worldwide.
Citrix, a leading provider of virtual computing solutions that help people work from anywhere on any device, strives to provide the company’s hiring managers and candidates with simple, efficient tools, such as Peoplefluent’s Talent Management suite. “As a long-term Peoplefluent customer, we’re excited to enhance the recruiting and application experience with this innovative technology,” said Rich Berger, Senior Director Citrix Global HRIS.
“This is a great tool for candidates to streamline their application experience with Citrix. We are strengthening our social media and bridging the gap between LinkedIn profiles and our application process,” said Melissa Thompson, Director, Citrix Talent Acquisition. “We look forward to adding ‘Apply With LinkedIn’ to our Peoplefluent RMS implementation later this summer.”
Peoplefluent will offer two “Apply With LinkedIn” plug-in integration options to its Recruiting Solution customers. The first option will, through a one-click apply process, populate relevant LinkedIn profile information into the Peoplefluent recruiting system. Designed to streamline the application process for people who maintain rich professional profiles on LinkedIn, this will serve to broaden our customers’ applicant pool of high-quality candidates both actively and passively looking for new opportunities. The second option couples the convenient submission process of the first, while adding compliance and candidate screening alternatives for global enterprise customers. A one-click process will access a candidate’s profile data and populate the information into existing application forms on the career site. This process further allows the candidate to provide supplemental application documents, complete assessment forms and provide any other data necessary that is not typically stored in a profile, but is required as part of the application process.

New Corporate Identity Results From Broad Industry Focus Group Research and Comprehensive Brand Identity Engagement
HRchitect includes Peopleclick Authoria in our list of top Talent Acquisition Systems vendors and top Talent Management Systems vendors that businesses should consider. If you are looking for a new Talent Management System, or any HR system, don’t rely solely on “recommendations” or published reports. Do yourself a huge favor and talk to HRchitect first. Peopleclick Authoria, offering a unique combination of best-of-breed suite solutions for Talent Management, Vendor Management and Workforce Compliance and Diversity, today announced its emergence under a new vision-driven brand as Peoplefluent™. The new corporate identity launches following a three month brand engagement, commencing first with its 650 employees then through extensive focus group research with top Human Resources executives from a range of geographies, industries and disciplines. The research findings represent views from both mid-sized organizations and large global businesses. The Peoplefluent™ image, logo and website will be formally launched today at Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Conference in Las Vegas, running from June 26-29, 2011 (visit the Peoplefluent™ at booth #2117).
Commenting on the name and brand, Charles S. Jones, Chairman and CEO of the new Peoplefluent, said, “We are very pleased with the direction provided to our new brand by a comprehensive group of senior HR management professionals that comprise our target audience. It is a powerful endorsement of our long-term vision and the true potential of the changing integrated Talent Management Suite.”
This broad Talent Management endeavor demands a level of fluency about individual employees far greater than what has been realized in the marketplace today. With the new Peoplefluent brand, the Company sets out to establish a new identity that better reflects the customer-inspired vision it conceived and began to build more than a year ago.
In the past two years, Peopleclick Authoria has deftly executed a deliberate and calculated evolution of its vision to engage and understand the total workforce. Fueled by the needs of its customers, the Company has dramatically expanded its product lines and capability through strategic acquisitions investing almost $200 million. The Company has also spent more than $61 million over approximately two years on research and development with a targeted focus on analytics, collaboration and mobile applications. In addition to the traditional components of a Talent Management suite, which would include, recruiting, compensation, performance management and succession planning, the Company’s solutions also enable the broadest view of the entire workforce. This workforce view is inclusive of employee and non-employee workers, and addresses the complex needs of compliance and diversity and it offers unmatched visual data and workforce analytics.
“Ultimately, one of the greatest values of Talent Management software is its ability to deliver actionable information about people to line managers and executives – essentially making the organization ‘fluent about the people’ part of the business,” said Josh Bersin, CEO and President of Bersin & Associates. “Peoplefluent has always had one of the most powerful and complete solutions for workforce analytics and decision making, so the new name captures this strength of helping organizations unlock and leverage knowledge about their people.”
In the coming weeks, Peoplefluent intends to announce a new ‘Fluency Methodology,’ a structured customer engagement model built around five essential Talent Management assessment criteria. This new methodology is being developed to assist customers in understanding their own workforce environments and opportunities, to help them address the changing market conditions that are impacting the total workforce landscape, and to support them with proven expertise in the deployment of collaborative and mobile initiatives. In addition, this week, Peoplefluent will be introducing its new Fluency on the Move mobile product line, broadly expanding its product reach and capability.

Signature Event Helps Attendees Evaluate Vendors, Get Answers to Their Toughest Questions
If you are looking for a new Talent Acquisition System, Talent Management System, or any HR system, talk to HRchitect first. We have unparalleled knowledge of the HR and Talent Management vendor community and can save you time and money in selection and implementation. Simply put, do not invest in any kind of HR technology without consulting with the experts first. HRchitect is here to help!
Conference organizers for the 13th Annual HR Technology Conference and Exposition today announced the four vendors that will vie for the top slot at the conference’s signature event: The Shootout. Designed to help attendees evaluate software by seeing custom demonstrations based on tough, scripted scenarios, this year’s roster consists of Saba, Peopleclick Authoria, HRsmart and Technomedia.
Produced by Human Resource Executive Conferences, the 13th Annual HR Technology Conference and Exposition will be held at McCormick Place in Chicago from September 29 – October 1, 2010.
This year’s Shootout consists of two breakout sessions in which the contestants have been paired based on their similar choices of three out of five Talent Management scenarios, written by industry expert Mark Albrecht and Conference Co-chair Bill Kutik.
Each vendor will conduct an uninterrupted 25-minute demonstration showing how their software can solve the specific problems in the script, and later answer questions from the audience. Voting will be based on four absolute criteria for software — such as usability and integration — rather than on presentation skills and less objective criteria.
Conference co-chair and Technology Columnist for Human Resource Executive magazine, Bill Kutik, emphasized, “Vendors in The Shootout are not permitted to demonstrate whatever they want — they must stick to our tough, scripted scenarios so attendees can evaluate them against the same criteria. And we never sell speaking or demonstration slots to vendors — participation is only earned by meeting our stringent requirements.”
Kutik will judge session one on Wednesday, September 29 at 11:00 a.m. with HRsmart and Peopleclick Authoria. Session two, featuring Saba and Technomedia, will be held the same day at 3:15 p.m. Rochester Institute of Technology instructor of HR technology, Steve Boese, will judge that session.
All four of these Talent Management vendors will also be featured in Bersin & Associates’ Customer Satisfaction survey, which is debuting at the HR Technology Conference.
The conference’s early bird registration rate expires on September 10th; attendees registering prior to this date save $350. Prospective attendees are encouraged to visit www.hrtechnologyconference.com for details.
About the HR Technology Conference Now in its 13th year, the HR Technology Conference & Exposition is acknowledged as the industry’s leading event. The complete agenda for this year’s conference can be found at www.HRTechnologyConference.com and discussions are available at the conference’s popular LinkedIn group.
