ADP Workforce Now Offers Mid-Market Companies Integrated Talent Management Solution…from ADP

March 30, 2010

Integrated HR, Payroll, Benefits and Time and Attendance Solution Expanded to Deliver Talent Management

If you are looking for a new Talent Acquisition System, Talent Management System, or any HR system, talk to HRchitect first. We have unparalleled knowledge of the HR and Talent Management vendor community and can save you time and money in selection and implementation. Simply put, do not invest in any kind of HR technology without consulting with the experts first. HRchitect is here to help!

ADP, a leading provider of HR, payroll and benefits administration services, today announced the enhancement of ADP Workforce Now to include talent management capabilities designed to enable mid-sized organizations to find, grow and keep the talent they need to compete and win in the marketplace.

ADP Workforce Now is the premier single-source, integrated solution that offers robust HR, benefits administration, payroll, time and attendance and talent management functionality specifically designed for mid-market organizations with 50 to 999 employees.

Many large organizations have already implemented talent management solutions to help identify top talent, track skills, build development plans, align team members with strategic initiatives and groom future leaders. However, a recent study by ADP entitled “Automated Talent Management: The New Strategic Imperative for Performance Efficiency” (March 2010), found that the majority of mid-sized organizations continue to manage their talent manually:

–  82% manage performance management manually

–  81% manage applicant tracking manually

–  78% manage compensation manually

–  74% manage background checking manually

In fact, because there is such a lack of easy-to-use, affordable and integrated solutions, only 8 percent of mid-sized companies use the same provider for HR, payroll and talent management.

“When it comes to making sure the right people with the right skills are in the right positions, mid-sized companies have just as much at stake — perhaps more — than larger ones,” said Regina Lee, president of ADP Major Account Services and Small Business Services. “ADP Workforce Now provides the tools that mid-sized companies need in order to focus on business growth, not business administration.”

Prior to using ADP Workforce Now, Coconut Grove Bank, Coconut Grove, Florida used three different systems and a variety of manual processes to manage HR, payroll and talent. “We were looking to improve organizational efficiency, streamline the number of vendors involved in our HR systems and elevate our strategic contribution to the bottom line,” said Ana Ishii, HR Director at Coconut Grove Bank. “With ADP Workforce Now, we will meet our needs across the employee lifecycle with a single solution, single service experience and single provider.”

Today, more than 2,000 companies leverage ADP Workforce Now to drive their organizations forward.

WorkForce Software Announces Significant Revenue Growth and Company Expansion in 2009…from WorkForce Software

February 10, 2010

Company Marks 10th Anniversary With Record Revenues

If you are looking for a new Talent Management System, Workforce Management System, or any HR system, talk to HRchitect first. We have unparalleled knowledge of the HR and Talent Management vendor community and can save you time and money in selection and implementation.

WorkForce Software, the leading provider of workforce management solutions for organizations with complex policies and compliance concerns, reported today that revenue for the period January 1, 2009 through December 31, 2009 increased by 50% as compared to the same twelve month period in 2008. Despite the challenging economic conditions that affected the global economy in 2009, WorkForce Software continued to expand operations, grow its workforce, and add new clients to the roster.

“Due to the unprecedented economic pressures of 2009, organizations of every size and across every industry sought ways to reduce costs, improve operational efficiencies and maximize the value of their employee base,” stated Kevin Choksi, WorkForce Software’s co-founder and CEO. “Workforce management solutions emerged as a significant contributor to helping Human Resource professionals expand their role within the organization and positively impact business development, employee productivity, and corporate strategy.”

Key to WorkForce Software’s growth was the signing of new clients including Day & Zimmermann, University of Hartford, and Duke Energy. Nearly 50% of the new clients are in the utility industry, building upon WorkForce Software’s already strong install base in the nuclear power market. Validating WorkForce Software’s concentration on mitigating complex labor policies and ensuring compliance, the company implemented the largest fatigue management project on record. The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) required all nuclear plants to meet strict “fitness for duty” regulations by August 15, 2009 or shutdown. WorkForce Software successfully implemented its EmpCenter® Fatigue Management solution to 90,000 employees at 34 locations in the U.S. simultaneously.

WorkForce Software’s continued growth also required the organization to relocate its corporate headquarters in September. Doubling its office space in a new modern facility, with a state-of-the art training facility, WorkForce Software can easily accommodate its current and future employee population.

Finally, WorkForce Software also celebrated its 10-year anniversary in 2009, marking a decade of focusing on meeting complex and evolving strategic workforce management needs and acting as a true partner in their clients’ ongoing success.

“The entire organization is excited by the company’s continued growth and the milestones we reached in 2009,” concluded Choksi. “And 2010 promises to deliver greater growth for the company with expanded services and solutions for our clients.”

SmartSearch Recruiting Software Adds Ability to Upload Zip-Files for Customers with High Resume Volume…from Advanced Personnel Systems

January 5, 2010

Advanced Personnel Systems enhances Batch Upload capabilities

HRchitect includes SmartSearch in our list of top Talent Acquisition Systems vendors that businesses should consider. Doug Coull, President & CEO, and LJ Morris, CTO with SmartSearch appeared on the HRchitect WebMingle on March 6, 2009. If you are looking for a new Talent Management System, or any HR system, talk to HRchitect first. We have unparalleled knowledge of the HR and Talent Management vendor community and can save you time and money in selection and implementation.

Advanced Personnel Systems, Inc. (APS), the maker of SmartSearch, a leading talent acquisition system and recruiting business solution, announced the addition of enhancements to its Batch Upload add-on module to facilitate bulk import of resumes stored in ZIP-files, DOCX and text-based PDF file formats.

“This functionality has been requested by many clients, so now users of our bulk upload component can zip resumes into a file,” said LJ Morris, CTO at APS, “The system unzips the entire batch for processing, which makes it easier and faster to import large quantities of candidates into the system. We also added the ability to support batch upload of candidate resumes in DOCX and text-based PDF file formats.”

The Batch Upload utility facilitates import of multiple resumes into the system from a user’s hard drive; it supports most popular resume formats including RTF, TXT, DOC, DOCX, text-based PDF, and HTML. The utility module also checks for duplicates and errors, and provides additional value when used in tandem with resume-mining and passive candidate sourcing tools. The Batch Upload Utility is bundled with the SmartSearch Email AutoReader, and sold as a robust enhancement to the SmartSearch applicant tracking solution.

These powerful toolsets work together and include many optional user-controlled settings to save time, such as tracking source of resumes, updating existing candidate records, and matching groups of imported candidates to specific job openings during the upload process. When the Email AutoReader is used in conjunction with the built-in SmartSearch email templates, recruiters can also create email campaigns which permit candidates to update their own resumes and records by simply replying to an email.

The enhancement to the Batch Upload utility is one of a number of updates rolled out in advance of a new Version release in the works for January 2010, and is now available to SmartSearch users. SmartSearch provides real-time, talent management software that centralizes sourcing, recruiting, applicant tracking, and hiring activities in an online database where all the pieces come together in one easy to use interface.

Performance-Based Learning on the Rise as New HR Best Practice…from Halogen Software

March 21, 2009

Over 100 organizations have selected Halogen’s new learning management system

HRchitect includes Halogen Software in our list of top Talent Management Systems vendors that businesses should consider. Halogen Software also participated in the HRchitect Beauty Pageant on Talent Management Systems in November 2008.

Halogen Software has seen strong uptake of its newest talent management solution, eLearning Manager. Over 100 organizations have selected Halogen eLearning Manager since the solution’s launch in November 2008. This adoption marks a growing market trend towards performance-based learning programs. Halogen eLearning Manager, the industry’s first performance-based learning management system, tightly integrates organizational learning activities with employee performance management, goal alignment, succession planning and other key talent management functions.

HR analyst firm Bersin & Associates points out that three of the top 22 talent management processes that drive the highest business impact are related to the integration of training and performance management practices. Halogen eLearning Manager delivers on this integration and breaks down the silos between performance management and learning to drive corporate performance and demonstrate a return on training investments.

“As a financial services institution, we are driven by compliance so a learning management system is a must for ensuring our training requirements are met,” explained Wanda Ladd, Director of Human Resources, PHR, Bank of Oak Ridge. “We were already using Halogen eAppraisal for performance management, and after reviewing other vendors when looking for an LMS there was nothing comparable. What sets Halogen apart is that tight link between performance and learning which gives us the ability to measure the impact training initiatives are having on performance.”

With Halogen’s new full featured LMS, HR, training professionals, managers and employees can easily access performance and development information in a single user interface. The system’s tight integration with other Talent Management Modules ensures:

  • Individual and group training programs are aligned with development plans, performance gaps, succession needs and, most importantly, corporate goals.
  • Training departments can easily measure the effectiveness of learning and skills development programs by tracking employee performance improvements over time via built-in Training Effectiveness Reports.
  • While managers are doing performance reviews they can instantly pinpoint and assign development activities related to the competency or area needing attention.
  • Employees are provided a single set of tools to better track and complete assigned goals and performance and development plans,
  • Employees and managers also have access to the full training catalog when and where they need it.

”Halogen eLearning Manager will provide us with actionable intelligence that we just didn’t have before,” said David Hofstetter, Manager, Learning and Development, New England Organ Bank. “We’ll have greater insight into skills gaps and a stronger understanding of where training programs are required, which helps us to focus our resources and measure performance results from them in the long run – this is invaluable.”

Batrus Hollweg International Announces Acquisition of Clickable Software and Addition Of Talent Management System…from Batrus Hollweg

February 13, 2009

HRchitect includes Click and Hire our list of top Talent Acquisition Systems vendors that businesses should consider. Click and Hire also participated in the HRchitect Beauty Pageant on mid-market Talent Acquisition Vendors in January 2009. Dr. Lewis Hollweg, CEO of Batrus Hollweg will be a guest on the HRchitect WebMingle on Friday, February 13, 2009.

Batrus Hollweg International (BHI) has purchased software company Clickable Software, and is now able to offer clients a complete Talent Management Solution. BHI’s product and service offerings will include Clickable Software’s applicant tracking system called “CLICK And Hire”. CLICK And Hire provides a web-based hiring system which quickly and easily takes candidate job applications online, pre-screens these candidates, assesses their fit for the position, and routes their information for tax credits, background checks, and other H.R. administration needs.

Applicant tracking systems significantly increase applicant flow, typically tripling applicant pools. Having a system that garners a greater number of candidates working in tandem with a premier assessment and selection process ensures the best candidates will be chosen for job positions. BHI’s CEO, Lewis Hollweg, Ph.D., explains “If you have the same assessment system with ten candidates rather than three candidates and you need to select the best two, you have the ability to be much more selective. Consequently, the probability of selecting the best candidates goes up by more than 50%”.

The CLICK and Hire applicant tracking system is a perfect fit with BHI’s new High Definition Assessment Science approach. These two solutions offer clients total customization of their hiring and talent management process. CLICK And Hire is an established automated application process which eliminates unqualified candidates saving time and money on assessments, background checks, and interviews with unqualified candidates.
