Privacy Policy
We run a publication, not a data business. This page explains exactly what we hold.
What we collect
We collect the minimum needed to run a publication: the email address you give us when subscribing to the HR Tech Brief, the contents of any message you send the editorial desk, and aggregate, non-identifying analytics about which pages are read.
We do not ask for, and do not want, employee data, payroll records or any personal data belonging to your organisation. Please do not send it to us.
How we use it
Email addresses are used to send the newsletter you asked for and nothing else. Messages to the desk are used to answer you and, where relevant, to inform editorial work — never republished with identifying detail without your explicit agreement.
Analytics are used to understand which topics are useful so we can commission more of them.
Legal basis
Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, we rely on consent for newsletter delivery and on legitimate interests for responding to correspondence and measuring aggregate readership.
Sharing
We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. We do not share subscriber lists with vendors. Processors that help deliver the site and the newsletter act only on our instructions.
Retention
Subscriber addresses are kept until you unsubscribe, after which they are removed from the active list. Correspondence is retained only as long as it is editorially relevant.
Your rights
You can request access, correction, export or deletion of your data at any time via the contact page. Every newsletter includes a one-click unsubscribe link.
Cookies
The site uses only what is required to function and to count page views in aggregate. We do not run advertising trackers or cross-site profiling.
Changes
Material changes to this policy will be published on this page with a revised review date.
